    ✅ Thanks so much for watching! ✅ A big shout out to all of the subscribers out there - I appreciate you! ✌️✌️✌️ ✅ Another way to subtract a fraction from a whole number is to convert the whole number to a fraction, find a common denominator (this will be the denominator of the fraction being subtracted), rename the whole number fraction so it has that common denominator, then subtract. EXAMPLE: 6 - 5/8 = 6/1 - 5/8 = 48/8 - 5/8 = 43/8 = 5 and 3/8

    You could also multiply the denominator by the whole number,(6*8) create an improper fraction( 48/8), and then subtract 48/8-5/8). After that, simplify to get 5 and 3/8.

  • @ashley46mvvian

    @ashley46mvvian

    Жыл бұрын

    its like 1 - 1. it will be 0 so then you don't have a whole number lets say its 1 - 2/3. you turn the 1 into 3/3 because its a whole number and your taking one of the whole number from the 1 so that means you have 0. 0 is 0. you get rid of the whole number so its just a normal fraction. therefore your problem is 3/3 - 2/3 = 1/3 and also your probably never gonna get a problem like that. (3/3 - 4/3)
