Rolfs skills to do these movies are so next level. These are not just movies to look at the moving bus.. you have to really take your time to feel these masterpieces at your own peace..magic i say! Thank you Rolf!

Totally agree. The work and skill that must go into producing a film of this quality is unimaginable.

I ask myself Rolf, how is it possible to watch your films, in a language I don’t understand, and love every second? I think the answer is that the film making is fantastic, you capture the peace and stillness of fly fishing, but also the excitement, the highs and lows - I smile (or laugh) from beginning to end. And I recognise that humour that surely only happens when a group of men get together (my wife calls it silly and childish, as do my friend’s wives and of course they’re right - which is why it only happens when it’s a men only group). My friends don’t fish, so we go on ‘alcohol themed tours’ instead of fly fishing - Oktoberfest (beer), Bordeaux (wine), Edinburgh(whisky), Porto (port and wine) Bratislava (beer) and so on. Whether glass in hand or fly rod, Swedes or Brits, the humour is exactly the same. Keep them coming Rolf, they are magical.

my goodness, how good it was to see this film. i've really had a hard time these last few months, but this film has reminded me so much of how wonderful friendship and fly fishing is. thank you for letting me be a part of your trip!

As a Czech fly fisherman, I wish you all the best, this is top quality on many levels...your sense of humour is close to our bohemian...what a good fucking job boys!!

Fantastic work Rolf! In this life that seems more simulation than real, more hologram than fulfilling; fly fishing is the one reality for many of us that keeps the insanity at bay while we navigate our way through whatever this world is really all about- The quality of light used in your films and the editing give it a surreal nature that for me at least, portrays the unreal nature of this realm while capturing our attempts to experience the sublime as we try to survive the unsavory aspects of mortality and collect a few droplets of happiness along the way. I’m in my 50th year of fly fishing now. I can no longer wade the rivers. Those days are past and Stillwater has become the last habitation where trout and I can mingle. This might be my last season to cast flies? Or perhaps last season was already my final one? Either way, fly fishing provided the best hope and the best happiness I ever experienced on this mortal sojourn. Now I have photographs and many memories of countless days on the water with my sons and fly fishing partners, most of whom have passed on to whatever awaits us. My fly tying room goes unused now and when I visit that room, it’s mostly to remember the 8 year old boy who began tying flies so many years ago and the more than 100 boxes of flies I’ve filled along the way for friends and family and myself. It’s been a great joy. Everything fades to nothing in this life and I’m thankful to have thoroughly enjoyed all of your films. Keep doing what your doing and get the most from your fly fishing life. If it’s possible, move your family closer to better fishing water. You can always find a new job. But you can’t replace the lost years when good trout were too far away. Do it while you’re still young enough to live where good fishing is close at hand. Many thanks for your excellent work!

Rolf nails it with step 4: “you need to know the cast matters.” There’s no buzz quite like managing to spot what you know is a big fish, nailing the cast, hooking the fish, and landing it. It is a supreme achievement. Maybe if it’s on a fly you tied yourself that would take it up to 11.

This is a fantastic movie! The camera work is exceptional, and the storytelling is very captivating. Rolf you're a film maestro!

"They couldnt say anything, it was my turn." ha ha ha legendary. An instant subscribe i really look forward to more content from this cahnnel it is very well produced.

The elements of beautiful cinematography added with nearly perfect dry fly fishing and immersive story telling are alone enough to make you sigh and smile of joy, but when combined with this kind of projection of sheer camaraderie among your brethren... Oh, man. This just made me so happy to see you guys enjoying those brief moments. I probably haven't seen a more perfect portration of happiness on film.

this is a three part series cut into one, like a novel by Gabriel Maira Marquez with all the nuances that come with it. Its hard to start explaining why this so great because every shot is a small story filled with symbolism and sense responses that forces you to rewind to see the next layer of content emerge. This should be an Oscar winner in Short Documentary category! so sorry for the loss of Marcus...its hard to express his importance...
