THE SUBSTANCE OF GLORY!
Acts 7:1-2... THE GOD OF GLORY APPEARED unto our father Abraham, when he was in Mesopotamia...
Glory is not the only thing that is used to dignify God. He can be dignified as the God of Praise, Power, Might, etc, because all that and more define who He is but when He appeared to Abraham, He chose to reveal Himself as THE GOD OF GLORY! .
Every encounter with God has a divine purpose because God cannot just be found but it's Him who chooses to reveal Himself to us.
Isaiah 6:1-3 KJV
In the year that king Uzziah died I saw also the Lord sitting upon a throne,...
And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory...
There is an intricate relationship between HOLINESS and GLORY. Actually Holiness is the stuff out of which glory is made.
If you want to manufacture glory, the inevitable ingredient is holiness. That is why you see scriptures always contrasting a lack of glory with lack of holiness. (Romans 3:23)
It means that when sin is present, holiness is absent and when holiness is absent glory cannot be present.
Holiness is what is seen in the Spirit realm, but here on earth it is manifested as glory.
It is the secret holiness within the vessel that is the sponsor of the glory that is manifested everywhere.
Exodus 15:11
Who is like unto thee, O LORD, among the gods? Who is like thee, glorious in holiness, Fearful in praises, doing wonders?
Holiness is the container that bears the glory of God.
Isaiah 6:3-8
Then said I, Woe is me! for I am undone; because I am a man of unclean lips, and I dwell in the midst of a people of unclean lips:for mine eyes have seen the King, the LORD of hosts....
Then flew one of the seraphims unto me, having a live coal in his hand, which he had taken with the tongs from off the altar: and he laid it upon my mouth, and said, Lo, this hath touched thy lips; and thine iniquity is taken away, and thy sin purged..
Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me.
So God arranged this vision encounter with Isaiah so that He could remedy the deficit Isaiah had sustained.
Sometimes many believers stop at what they see in an encounter with God but as Isaiah did we need to continue with the process until we pronounce woe on ourselves and allow His purging process to remove every filth.
Isaiah soon realized that he had gone for ministry prematurely. He had unclean lips. His sin of unclean lips had been accepted in society and none could fight him because all were a people of unclean lips.
Some sins have been accepted in society and are no longer classified as sins yet before God they are still sins.
What has been sin from the beginning will remain sin until the end regardless of what earthly authorities say.
There are things that you may be doing and they feel normal because the Light has not yet shone upon them. When the Light of God comes, you need to make up your mind and deliberately run for your life.
It was in the light of God’s presence that the prophet came to realize his problem and that of his people.
We must purpose never to buy allowance for sin because everyone else is doing it, the Lord is looking for remnants who will stand by what is right.
Remember You can enter heaven as a struggling Christian but not into ministry. For you to enter ministry you must live a highly consecrated life, as the Master commanded us. (1Timothy 3:1-7)
Many have taken the calling of God so cheaply, and have gone out ahead of time before the purging fire of God works on them.
Isaiah needed the encounter with God so that the fire of God could purge him of his sin. It was after the cleansing and purging of Isaiah that God could finally send him.
When God shows you who you are do not argue that everyone else does the same thing. Sin is still sin. (Matthew 19:8) If it was not accommodated in the beginning, it will not be at the end.
I don’t know what you have normalized, Ask the Lord to shine forth His light into your life until all the evil is dealt with so that you are rightly aligned with the immortals.
Many people have gone into ministry before God sends them but remember John was a voice of one, only God!. (John 1:23)
Whatever needs to be purged in your life, ask the Lord to help you. There is a grace for your permanent positive damage, something stronger than your will that will deal with the fountain that is the source of that sin.
When you allow the purging of the Lord, the source of iniquity, the sin and its punishment will all be taken away.
