LEANING ON GOD'S GRACE AND MERCY;MAKE JESUS FAMOUS PRAYER HOUR | PASTOR BEN OCHOLA

LEANING ON GOD'S GRACE AND MERCY
Tuesday 9th July 2024
It is my prayer that as we continue to seek the LORD that we will sustain a posture that continually attracts the mercy and grace of God.
Let not the foot of pride come against me, .... (Psalms 36:11)
When you start to sense pride raising it's ugly head, cut it off and give it no room in your life. If we are going to attract the help of God on a daily basis at all levels, we must sustain a heart of maximum humility with all sincerity.
It is proven throughout scriptures that when men are in their low days, that is when they look upto God but when the blessings begin to multiply, some how the enemy comes in because they begin to think it is them.
Each one of us needs grace and mercy to fulfill the mandate of God upon our lives.
2 Corinthians 12:7-8 And lest I should be exalted above measure by the abundance of the revelations, a thorn in the flesh was given to me, a messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I be exalted above measure. Concerning this thing I pleaded with the Lord three times that it might depart from me.
Today we don't know what this thorn was but we know it was something very uncomfortable in the life of Apostle Paul.
Much as Apostle Paul kept crying to God to take it away, He told him;
... "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me (2 Corinthians 12:9)
Weaknesses result in a supply of greater grace. (2 Corinthians 12:10)
God's grace finds full expression where your strength comes to an end so that when you begin to see glory, you don't glorify yourself but understand that your weakness attracted such grace.
Apostle Paul arrived to this place: he was sentenced to lean on God's grace: everything of his was exhausted. Everything we see in his life was a result of total leaning on God. I beg you, let us never put confidence in the flesh Psalms 147:10
Remember, God's grace is availed in measures; the more you realize you can't do without Him, the more of His grace is attracted towards you.
The best way to attract this help is sustaining a posture of humility, contrition of spirit and brokenness. Psalms 29:2 and Isaiah 66:2
1 Corinthians 15:10 (AMPC) BUT BY THE GRACE (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God I AM WHAT I AM, and His grace toward me was not [found to be] for nothing (fruitless and without effect). In fact, I WORKED HARDER THAN ALL OF THEM [the apostles], though it was NOT really I, but the GRACE (the unmerited favor and blessing) of God which was with me.
Are you a making of grace or a self made man? A man who has laboured in your own strength?
Apostle Paul set for us the best example: he said; I laboured more than all of the Apostles but he always came to that place of realization that whatever was flowing out of him was because of the grace of God.
May God help us to deal with any trace of pride within us until we come to a place of total leaning on His grace and mercy.
