I like dis guy. He has a very unique style, sneaky, can overwhelm almost anyone with that volume. Such a dog but has a few things he could improve

Matias the machine. Would love to see him get a shot at Teo or even Regis. Maybe even Devin Haney but i think Haney could be a style nightmare for him becuz of Devs movement. Love this guy Matias though.

I still don't like the clean shots that Matias takes. He's got to develop a jab to get in instead of just walking forward. Also, he's got to improve his defense. You fear that his career may take a trajectory similar to Jarrett Hurd or Antonio Margarito but right now, he looks like an absolute monster.

I agree with you on the entries, but his defense is sneaky good. He clearly hits an offensive rhythm after a couple of rounds but I think his defense follows the same patterns, he catches a lot of shots on the gloves or rolls with them. Teofimo can definitely crack, so it will be fascinating to see if Matias can walk him down…

He actually has a very good jab he just uses it later in his fights as he adapt I agree he does take heavy shot I think in a way is part of his game plan to get his opponents to open up or get them emotionally week to think their punches have no effect and later starts bringing the pressure but if you look at his dadashev fight he actually cuts the ring well and and is smarter then people think dadashev was only a prospect but was tought to be a star and also ergashev and he made those guys look avg.

I know what you’re saying. But the man just walks thru punches like nothing. A scary beast in my opinion. And did send one boxer to the grave.

Volume fighters are a nightmare for boxers

Matías held the hand till the 4th round so the fight could last more. If he wanted he could had finished it in the 2nd or 3rd round.

Shohjahon looked perfect but Matias was able to wear him out with that punishing power.😵

Love Matias’s terminator style, once he gets that engine going good luck. He’s gotta tighten up that defense though i remember watching this live, he took some hard flush shots early when Ergashev was fresh. Yea it looks cool seeing a guy walk through punches but it never ends well. That damage accumulates and eventually that iron gets cracked. Look at Brandon Rios, Lucas Matthysse, Ruslan Provodnikov, Jarrett Hurd, Margarito etc. all those guys were relentless pressure fighters that ate shots like candy and kept coming and look what happened to them

funny how they fought on the same card against very similar style opponents and won in the same way

It is a shame that they do not give adequate exposure and promotion to the Champ Subriel Matias. You can see the difference with the work that other companies do to give their boxers the necessary exposure.

Early on Erga had many good hard shots. At 1:38 Matias hit Erga's triceps or underarm to dissuade Erga from doing that measuring thing. But it was at 4:26 where there are somewhere between 4 and 6 hard punches that Matias hit Erga with, uppercut-right hook-right-left-right-left, and these clearly changed Erga's mind about the whole thing. Then he continued with many more devastating punches. This was only the beginning of what could've been another terrible ending for a Matias opponent. It's good that the guy quit.

He also had blood when he trained for the 3 months before the fight and when the doctors saw him to approve the fight. Then he walked out of the ring bleeding and went to the hospital.

Ever giving it thought that it’s Matías sucking the life out of his opponents? Fighters have to work so hard to just keep Matías off them.

Matias gets hit too much! If he fights some1 like Tank and Teo knocks him out

I think it was the balls the ones that decided to take refuge behind the pubic bones.

I like the Variety of short, clubbing punches he throws. But he has cement feet. I see why Lopez team made the offer. Teofimo would lean back in his shell and just piece this guy up with One , two's all night. Step left, step right. Fire. Matias would just cover up with his high guard soaking up punishment. But doesn't have the speed or jab to get off on Lopez.

​@AGUEY1720 matias was fighting nobodies just like he is now. His biggest challenge to date is gonna be a prospect in liam paro. Haney and teo have beat world champions while matias hasnt. Ergashev had just fought a dude who was 23-13. Not much of an undefeated fighter.

Did you see the jeremías ponce fight you would of tought the same thing in that fight he starts slow really slow he fight for 12 rounds he starts throwing 100 punshes after 6 trust people still dont know how much of a beast mathias is he gets better and comes stronger as the rounds pass. They are going to have to beat him early or out point em but even if the do that the opponent will get a W that will take him straight to the hospital.
