*Important*: Recently in the Subnautica Speedrunning community there has been a lot of discussion around the validity of KrazeyCane warp, the glitch we use to open the fabricator menu while in the portal cutscene. Without delving into the details about how this glitch works, it requires a certain amount of portal load time in order to be able to pull off successfully. When it was first discovered I was quick to implement it and as a result I was the first person to successfully use it in a run. However, recently it has come to light that those with faster computers than mine (which is a significant number of people) have either much more difficulty or are downright incapable of performing this glitch because their portal load times are too quick. The only solution to this would be to purposely slow down your device, but this of course comes with its own set of issues. Because of this the community has decided to disallow this glitch from any future runs. This time will remain on the leaderboard as it was set before this rule was changed, but any future runs are no longer allowed to utilize this glitch. If you are a new or current runner, do not attempt to replicate this glitch as your time will not be accepted.

@@patstaysuckafreeboss8006 Valid point, however, in practice KrazyCane warp was calculated to only save 16s of time total. I've provided extensive evidence to the Speedrunning community that this time is still entirely beatable without KrazyCane, which is why they decided to keep my run on the leaderboard. I've been on pace to beat this time by upwards of 30s on several occasions now but the luck has just never panned out in my favor. So even though myself and other runners are not allowed to use this glitch anymore, it is still a beatable time, so it is just expected that runners have to beat this time without this glitch.

i dont think it matters if they use tehx clip or not bc they have to wait for the fuel reserves to finish constructing & they just wait there for a few seconds before they can build the cockpit

You probably mean tehx clip which allows you to climb the ladder from the outside of the cyclops. You're right, it does let you swim through the cyclops and saves a bit of time, however since there is a large period of time after exiting the cyclops where you're just waiting to make the next section of the Rocket, you don't really need to be fast inside the cyclops. Also because of how the cyclops is positioned, doing tehx clip can make the water appear in only half the cyclops, and if you're unlucky you can actually get stuck in the water, which takes a bit of maneuvering to get out of. So I just don't bother with doing it since it doesn't really save any time and can be kind of annoying to deal with. Tehx clip was mainly used in the older route for the final split when you actually needed to be really fast inside the cyclops, recently a new faster route has been developed which shifts a bunch of the crafting around and as a side effect kind of negates any usefulness tehx clip once had.

Yep, there's ghost storage and flare storage, both of which allow you to access a locker from anywhere, but only once before you have to re-activate it again.

If you're inside a base when it floods the game thinks you are both swimming and walking at the same time so it adds those two speeds together. You lose this once you exit the water or enter a non flooded base but you can get it back by deconstructing a hatch or window while inside the flooded base.

Did you dupe the fragment of the Vehicle Bay!?!, Can fragments be duplicated? If so, where could I see how to do this? (Fk'n amazing run by the way ♥️)

No, just got the fragments by despawning that wreck with the MVB frags inside. To despawn a wreck all you have to do is build a compartment partially inside it. And thanks, glad you enjoyed the run.

"Mushrooms damage the base, if you damage it enough it starts flooding. If you are in a base when it floods or you are in a flooded base and you deconstruct and reconstruct the hatch or a window the game will think you are both swimming and walking at the same time so it puts those two speeds together. Pretty fantastic, makes you go really fast, called super Seaglide." -Salvner

Unfortunately the Ultra tank blueprint is just too out of the way to be worth it. Also it requires the modification station to make as well which is another divert.

I feel dumb asking this but what is a any% speed run? You just play til you wana quit and then see how much % of the game u completed in a serten time or what?

any% is a blanket term used across Speedrunning which essentially means "beat the game as fast as possible". I believe it's called any% because the objective is just to beat the game and it doesn't matter how much of the game you complete, hence "any percent". That's why a 100% run is not called any% because only 100% game completion is acceptable.

Done that, made a wiring kit by accident during the final section. I needed the silver to make the ion batteries so I ended up short, run dead.

Yes, even though this run used a banned glitch it was set before than ban was imposed and this time remains beatable without it. Besides, even if this run were to be deemed invalid, I have other runs that exclude this glitch that would still be world record.

How is there a storage section while you’re swimming? That’s not in the console version.

It's a glitch called ghost storage, if you open the lifepod locker and then immediately exit the lifepod, the next time you open your PDA you can access that locker. The same effect can be achieved by throwing a flare and trying to open a locker at the same time. This also works on the console version.
