You should try and request for the release of the Return of the Ancients mod. Imagine a Gargantuan Leviathan base.

Great job again oarfish really love these guides some of the best subnautica content out there thank you so much

I found that with the power transmitters, if you don't have one attracted to the base, the next time you load the save, it doesn't connect, so I usually have one attracted to the base itself

There are some other bases of mine which still get the power even if transmitter wasn't attached directly. But yeah when I load, some of them lose power randomly. Perhaps you have found a definitive solution! Good job!

I think the reason you cant put a scanner room there is bc you cant connect stuff to that part of a "T" section? If it was a "+" section (if u know what i mean) maybe it would connect?

It gltches at random; luckily that can easily be fixed by swimming away far enough and coming back.
