One of my all time favorites, a real individual melding of styles. They broke thru to the mainstream later with a more streamlined and produced style with What I Got, still great if a bit sanitized. RIP Bradley, wish you could've stuck around.

Lived w 4 other guys in my fraternity house plus whomever else stayed in town (Akron) summer 98 and this was the only album listened to for 4 months. Playing in and outside the house.

"Your not the only one, but your the best Bradley!" I love that line

I don't know if anyone has mentioned this, but the dog at the beginning is Lou Dog, a credited member of the band.

Even before Lou, the band took a clip from a song by the Minutemen, an influential band from San Pedro, not far from Long Beach where Sublime was from. The Minutement were awesome, and Mike Watt, the bassist, went on to do collaborations with a ton of other musicians.

Bradley was another legend taken too early! I was fortunate enough to see them at The Milk Bar in JAX in 95, had no clue he would be gone shortly after!! RIP

and is also originally a Peter Tosh song. One of my favorite things about Sublime is they got me into music I likely never would have if not for them. If they covered or sampled a song, I would go buy up the originals. Now I get why bands will give permission to other bands to cover songs, lol. It's like an advertisement.

SUCH an amazing album, start to finish! This album kinda changed me at my young adult 20 something years :)

Have to hear this song with very powerful speakers, it is way better that way; you can feel that slow “thump”. My wife and I name our dogs after Sublime references specifically because of this song.

This whole album is right up your alley. Definitely check out Bad Fish, Smoke Two Joints and Scarlet Begonias, a cover of a Grateful Dead song with Sublimes spin on it. 💜

Lily J I have been all over Cali from SD up to the Bay Area. I spent lots of years truck driving but have vacation there lots as well. Ive been to the Plaza as well. PHX definitely celebrates its Mex/chicano culture. LA is obviously alot bigger with a longer history so its not on the size of LA but between festivals and the lowrider community...its def in PHX.
