I completely appreciate and respect the way he approached this and earned his opportunity to do this. Much love, much respect. So sorry you had to grow up without your Father. Jakob if by chance you read this, I already told your Grandma Nancy that if you ever need a photographer or videographer or drone pilot for any reason at all, I got you bro. No charge, it would be my pleasure and Nancy gave me a killer deal the first go round at the piano. This young man is about to launch music to a brand new level. I want to cry, but I'm happy, and proud, and inspired, and all the best parts of living life are better now. It's not fair for humanity to have lost such a talented artist so soon. But I still have my dad, I just lost culture that I love. Jakob lost both, and now here he is. Raising us all back up, and he's doing it with a perfect attitude and perfect message. Sublime is back baby! What can I say. It deserves a movie already, but Jakobs got a new story to play. I can't wait for new music. I listened to Jakobs Castle finally last week, and the song Time Traveler just keeps getting stuck in my head. I know him and a friend put it together. The acoustic radio jam sounded just as great Sublime should totally do a Time Traveler COVER of Jakobs Castle 😄. It's just a great song no matter what. You can't lose on this one.

right? thats the live sublime feel where they jam, do dancehall or distortion punk breakdowns. Bass line is not stuck to the same medley, has a bunch of fills and flavor. Alot of those radio songs where never jammed this way. I wanna see "live" sublime songs like dont push/garden grove/ new thrash/ right back combo aka Triple threat. It be a dream to hear some jam/tribute to reggae and punk roots, youth are getting restless, romantic girl, cost of living, ring the alarm, minor threat, house of suffering, winner takes it all. ahh so many more, its my dream to see sublime live again and branch past radio edits and be the live jam band again. either way this sublime rocks and Im here for it!

I love that bubble-y digital bass tone eric got i dont even know how to describe it. also really dig the extra bass riffs and fills, has the old live vibe. If you listen party on a boat - caress me down riff on keyboard is insane with the digital tone and freestyle, love me that bubble digital bass tone. Jakob is awesome and so dope to see brads gear being used. sounded real good but hard to tell from the 2 guitars in mix sounded mostly trey. Bud on drums was insanely clean and enjoyable, i have to replay a few hundred more time to take it all in. I hope yall tour east coast! i dont know how i feel about driving to a festival but i have to see sublime live! Icing on the cake would be having MIgs on guitar too, i feel like that man is underappreciated in the scope of things. All love, long live sublime!

Sublime is KEY. Sublime will always be KEY. "Hey, what are you guys doin?" IDK but its gonna be KEY!

Actually his voice is super awesome taking the songs to the next level and reminding us all that legacy evolves. We are all grateful to have this performance and those who dont have anything nice to say should mind their manners and leave without posting, abaolutely rediculous anyone would detract from such a powerful epic music moment in history! keep going Jakob ❤❤❤ Stay Strong

Sends chills down my spine!!!!!

right? thats the live sublime feel where they jam, do dancehall or distortion punk breakdowns.
Timeless.
Goosebumps!
Soo excited that his son is following in his footsteps. Sublime is back baby 😎
Seeing Bud and Eric playing together again is absolutely incredible. I saw Jakob with Jakob's Castle last month and he played Garden Grove, he killed it. He was also such a chill and humble dude to chat with after the show too, total class act. Gonna see him with Sublime in July in Denver, I'm so damn pumped!
Love Jakob, love this new era of Sublime. How exciting
So freaking awesome. I really hope to see Sublime one day.
Goosebumps.
Go jakob!!!. Keep it up!!!!!. Love sublime. Love seeing this !. We need more!!!!!
Bradley's guitar ❤
AWSOME !!!!
Thank you for your copy playing. Awsome dude!
Know these words, speak these words, love these words.
You guys were the best thing that has happened to Coachella in a long time..this was beautiful to see 🥰 and Gwen really couldn't do saw red with you guys.. that was disappointing but so was their whole set 🤷♀️

Sounds really good 🤘😝🤘. Bud is killin’ it!!
This makes my heart happy!
This is beyond what awesome is. If our souls can look down when we pass, I know Bradley is so damn happy about this! I know I would be if my son filled my spot in a band as prolific as Sublime. Talk about Legacy! Go Jakob!
I couldn’t be more emotional about this and so many levels. As first introduced to sublime by my brother and he used to drive me to my father‘s house that was 15 miles away and hearing the Bass from the trunk of the 1968 Camaro. I introduced it to my little brother, my wife and my daughter.
So good...thanks ❤
Buds Yamahas sounding prime as ever 🎉❤
I’m rooting for him to get better. It’s a great story so far 🙌🏽

@@SmartySmartshe probably means that his singing isn't up to par with his dad's. and his playing. cause bradley basically played for his whole life with sublime and grew into that stuff way more. but I like his singing etc. it is just that he is much younger and not as much experienced to play with the band.. I like it but you can hear that bradley was on another level.
Beautiful
Wow...just wow. Eric and Lou dog are up there proud!
I have such a passion for sublime and the history of its band culture. I’m glad Coachella included this incredible band in there event to share to everyone. I’m so happy that Jacob took the lead and continued this amazing band.
Sublime VibesAlive 💞💞💞
Now that’s f****n Sublime!!!
Love seeing this. ♥️☀️
Omg. This is it. They’re back. He’s got his own voice but at the same time he’s got the Bradley Sound .. .. AND THE🕶️🌞 89 VISION 🎶
I’m 37, my mom gave me Sublime self tittle album as a present when I was 17…. maaaan I’ve been listening sublime almost 20 years and never expected to hear them again like that, I’m from south America living in AZ now and I won’t miss a show now that I have that chance!!! Thanks to life!!!! Thanks Brad for all the inspiration !!! now is Jake’s turn !!!!! Glad to see bud and Eric looking so happy !!!!!!!!
My sublime loving heart is so happy!❤
Yeee haaaw Bud!!!!
I keep coming back here. Let’s go Jacob.
This has been the only thing on my mind
"my name is jakob nowell and this is sublime" oh man that made me feel things
Energy can never be destroyed, Bradley's absolutely still here his energy shifted to Jakob.
Can't believe how much he sounds like his dad, his voice, the little harmonious scats, it's eerie.. after so many years experimenting with dub Allstars, dub shortbus, ras-1, Rome... they all brought something to the show, but none of them could really capture that energy that Bradley gave...but Jakob has me doing a double take.... it's like I've discovered time travel...
I bet there's versions of me in other universes that didn't survive themselves long enough to see how kookoo bananas this performance would be.
Wow. This was amazing.
A Sublime / No Doubt 2024 Summer Shed Tour would be the absolute alligator tits!!❤ This shit is a dream come true, Jakob is bringing the heat! 👁️💯🔥🐇👑👽🍀
Yeahhhhh!!!!!
Sublime is back baby!!
I can't wait to see what they cook up in the studio. They probably have a ton of Brad's unreleased or unfinished work and Jacob obviously knows how to bring it to life. This is amazing.
