Absolutely loved your tutoial! Just bought my first mugpress and sublimation printer and can't wait to get started. Thank you so much!

i appreciate the way you explain the details. always looking forward to watching your new sublimation videos 😎
Excellent video, Roger. Just what I was looking for. I began to follow your channel when I bought my laser printer. Your videos were a great help to me then, and this video is a great help to me now as I play with my newly acquired sublimation printer. You do a fantastic job describing and demonstrating each step of the way, which makes for easy learning. Your dry humour and occasional sarcasm are the icing on the cake.
Thank you Roger I just learned how to do sublimation on mugs, and my Church is going to be doing it as a fundraiser, putting our logo on the cups, and then selling them to our members.. thank you so much for all the info in the description too including where to get all the supplies. God bless you, and thank you so much for your channel.

Loving how you use the flexible tape measure it makes sense to use it to get the correct measurement. On the stage of printing out the designs but wasn't sure how to get the right measurements. Glad we found this video!!! Thank you...God bless

This press has performed very well. We have run over 250 mugs through it with no problems other than a couple of operator errors (like putting graphic on upside down)............
You can put an image on the outside bottom that will transfer just great!! Even tape one on the inside of the cup! Try it with the ghosted one!!

Great video! How long should I wait before removing the graphic? I’ve noticed ghosting and speckling but I’ve been pulling the paper off as soon as I take it out of the press.
@rogersshop
9 ай бұрын
Not a good idea to hot pull as you have found out with the ghosting. I let them sit until I can handle bare handed without getting burned. "Speckles" are usually caused by lint. Make sure mug is clean and dust/lint free. Cheap paper towels can leave lint behind. The blue shop-type towels don't.
So all videos ive watched say use the epson paper have you done a comparison of the thepaper you used and epson? Were having trouble getting the black to come out black, keeps coming out brown, were using heat press machine.
@rogersshop
Жыл бұрын
If your blacks are coming out brown, then either the temp is too high, or the time is too long. Either one, or a combination of both, can cause blacks to have a brown tone.

I know you talked about you make some of your own graphics on you tile sublimate video - just curious what you make it in? I have many of the same machines that you do and trying to do this as a business instead of hobby and I want to do my own stuff instead of buying pre-made STLs or SVGs etc. I know how to create from png but I want to do it ground up.
@rogersshop

First, I am not really an "artist". I have trouble drawing stick people! I belong to a couple of graphics services where I obtain licensed graphics to use, then modify/combine in another program, depending on end use. For laser work, I usually use lightburn. For sublimation, it is either Inkscape, Photoshop, or Photoscape. Inkscape is a great solution to converting other formats to SVG.
Awesome video. Couple questions. If color from bottom to top, do you need more tape around the top and bottom to get the image on towards the edges? How many rejects should I expect before getting hang of it in a production manner? I've seen some mention using butcher paper, but noticed you aren't using any. Is that because the designs aren't to the edge?
@rogersshop
8 ай бұрын
To get color to wrap around the top and bottom edges will require more tape to bind the paper to the curves, much like we do with tumblers on the bottom edges. I don't use butcher paper since I use a heavy high quality sublimation paper. My reject rate is less than 1% and usually is a result of something stupid like putting the image on upside down when in a hurry.

I love your videos!! But I do have a question. I'm new to mug sublimation and notice that all of mine seem to have very faded colors. I do 300 dpi and increased the saturation and all of my printing settings are controled by the printer. When I went up to 400 degrees at 240 seconds it got just a little bit better, but the entire graphics are still bleached out. Any suggestions would be helpful!
