I love your video I just got a eco tank ink jet 2850 printer i’ve been a little hesitant about converting it but after seeing your video I kind of calm myself down so I’ve made the decision to convert it to a sublimation printer I already have my sublimation hippo ink I only have a easy press from cricut will that work.

@@marylynch8196I don't use a large heat press. I use the Cricut Heat Press 2. If I were going to do a lot & sell I would definitely have a larger heat press. I love my Epson 2800 so far. Hope you enjoy your sublimating!! I sure do! God Bless.

What settings do you use on your 2800? I have the same one and the same ink conveniently so I wanted to see what your recommendation is!

What do I need to do when it comes too putting the shirt down and where do I put the Teflon? Where do I put the butcher paper? Basically which order in layers do I put these things on?

Thanks for your video. I'm trying to print on 3.5 x 9" A-Sub sublimation paper for a mug using Windows 10. I set a Customer Size on the et-2850 of 9.0" high and 3.5" wide. I could not set this size in PowerPoint so I converted to a jpg picture. I still couldn't print using my picture software. The print dialogue does not have a choice for user define paper size. I imported the picture into Microsoft Office Word 365. I decreased the size of the picture to account for the required margins and set the margins. I could set the paper size as 3.5" x 9" and set to use the rear tray. The et-2850 still reports a paper size mismatch and will not print. Is it possible to print on A-Sub 3.5" x 9" paper on the et-2850? Please advise how to do this. Thanks!

Hi!! Thank you so much for watching! I was honestly kind of nervous myself but once I jumped in I was so relieved that it was pretty simple 🤗 Those hippo easy fill bottles are also very user friendly! I think that is a great idea to use the cricket easy press for T-shirts and then down the line you could always choose to invest in a heat machine if you want. I believe the one I used in the video is around $190 on Amazon but it did also come with some attachments. I have heard form others that another good option is to check Facebook Market Place for gently used ones in your area. Sometimes you can find a good deal if someone is looking to upgrade their heat press and want to sell their current one 💕😊

I really enjoyed your video. I have the Epson ET-4800. Ink tanks are filled with the same ink you mentioned. I also have the HTV Ront. The printer and heat press are both unused. Question- do I need a program to print the design on the sublimation paper? TIA

I believe you can use an Ecotank to print out an image for a Heat Iron Transfer but it would have to be ink that is approved for that and NOT sublimation ink. You can only use sublimation ink sublimating ink onto fabric or a blanks when using a heat press, but this is not the same as heat transfer vinyl. I hope this helps. 💕

It's the same printer. The difference is 2803 it's a 2800 printer sell by target and Walmart

So how did u transform it from regular printer to sublimation printer just by the sublimation ink? I just order my printer same one and would like to know if that’s correct

What is the white piece on top if the mat on the heat press?

Great video! Though I do have a question. I know home printers typically don’t have “white ink” because they print on white computer paper usually and do not need to. If I wanted to sublimate on a yellow shirt, I’m assuming the white would come out transparent? I don’t suppose you know a way to circumnavigate this. Incredible video!

Hi! It could be a few different things. The first 2 things would be the ink and the paper. Does the printer have sublimation specific ink in it and are you printing out your design on sublimation paper?

Hi! Thank you so much for watching. With Sublimation, it only transfers whatever you print out on the paper in ink. Most printers don’t print white (some more expensive ones do) so if you have an image with white in it then it will be blank areas. Whatever the area you are sublimating onto will show up. So if you need white in certain areas of a design, then you will need a white item such as a t-shirt or mug that is the color white otherwise be mindful that the plain white paper never transfers with Sublimation.

I bought the Epson ET2800 and Hiipoo sublimation ink (same products as in your video). Ran through the initialization process and setup and having problems. The black doesn't print at all and the other colors started off printing almost perfect, but now are getting worse with each test print and head cleaning I do...Do you have any advice? This is all brand new :-(

Do we need to use the hippo sub paper? Or can we use any sub paper
