I have to let you know. I was really thinking about investing in one of those Expensive printers for sublamation but, I'm so glad I saw your video. You just saved me so much money. My husband purchased the epson printer for me (haven't set it up yet) but I'm so excited. I'm trying to get everything I need for sublamtion together so, I can start having fun. No you wouldn't have to download it again. Just go into your computer printer settings and add it in🤍

It can print up to 8.5” x 14” :)

I did all that but I never got a printout congratulating me 🤔 Also when I printed my design it looked pale and it did not let me chose to change settings when I sent it to print. It only gave me the option for paper size and kind but not like with my other printers that I can choose high quality and all that 😰😢

For some reason i can’t get the picture to adhere to the tumbler 🙃 i put sublimation ink in I’m not sure what im doing wrong

With a converted sublimation printer you need to print atleast 1-2 times a week or else the print heads get clogged. Maybe thats the issue?

Run the head cleaning about 10 - 12 times in the epson maintenance settings, then print a nozzle test to see if it has cleared. If not keep running the head cleaning until the lines have cleared.

When I first started sublimation with my wf7720, Cosmos Ink said NOT to do a firmware update, maybe that’s why. Not sure if you can factory reset to fix this, but seems like maybe that would undo the update? I hope it works for you, I was always afraid I would update the firmware by mistake on mine.

Hello, I followed your steps, but for some reason I keep receiving an E2 Scanner Error message. The Printer is the same model ET 2800 and it's brand new. Soon as I reached the step after preparing, is when I receive the message. All the website says is to shut off and turn back on, but it's been wasting my sublimation ink. Can you please help me or if anyone knows what I can do, kindly let me know, since I had a project I needed to do by tomorrow, and now it's extremely frustrating because since I used the sublimation ink, I know Epson can't advise me. I really appreciate you taking the time to make videos to help others starting out.

Now when I try to turn it on, it skips the initiation step, but when I try to do anything it says printer busy, and then the same error message happens. I'm not sure if it's the way I'm loading the paper, or because the wifi network I couldn't finish setting up because of the scan error.

Question do you use regular printer paper ?

Not for sublimation. You have to used sublimation paper

I did all of the things , and when I went to print something orange - it printed and pressed green. I’m not sure what I’m doing wrong ?

Sublimation actually infuses the ink into the fabric, so it looks like a shirt (or whatever you use) that you would get at a store. It doesn’t wash out or fade. As opposed to vinyl which just sits on top. I haven’t tried it yet, but I just got my Epson printer in the mail today and I’m excited to get started!

So it's not recommended to use the 2800 for both sublimation and regular inkjet printing. I would be swapping the inks depending on whether I'm subliminting or not.

You can't swap them out. The inks are different. You'll have to use it specifically for sublimation or regular ink. Not both.

We just bought our printer and ran into your video because we were having problems. Well we used the regular rink thinking it came with sublimation ink. So is there no way to fix this or did we just waste our money?

My hippo sublimation ink top doesn’t look like yours…

My Epson kept giving me an error. I took it back. Be careful! Some companies will not take them back because, you used the wrong ink.

The 1st print had 2 missing segments as shown. But i left it like that because i know once i started printing it would fill in. If yours has alot of missing segments. I recommend a nozzle clean so it can unclog.

Mine has a ton of segments missing. Should I just perform nozzle cleanings until all segments are filled back in? :/

I once had to nozzle clean my regular printer about 4 or 5 times till all the segments were back. It takes time sometimes if theyre badly clogged.

@@LilyRoseCraftroom girl so far I'm at 23 cleanings :/ ... this printer is brand new, literally bought it today.. Not my first sub printer either. I've never had this problem before... the segments haven't moved. They're still exactly the same lines. It's the Cyan. All the other colors are fine. I don't know what to do...

Yes. For sublimation printing you'll need sublimation paper.
