Lisa, I had to remove my P44f stabilizer to sublimate. The stabilizer went all bubbly in the heat press. I stabilized after the heat press and it worked fine! Thanks for all your help.

Thanks Lisa for doing this series. I wasn't going to get into sublimation, but you have convinced me that I need to add this to my crafting. I enjoy personalizing projects and this method will add so much more. Blessings❣

Wonderful Video Demonstration. I use to own and operate a Printery in WA State, and catered to a lot of wonderful quilters who I would do Memory Quilt Blocks for on my Xerox Color Printer with a special fabric paper. This is so much better now and will last a lot longer. Its the next best thing to Silk Screen Printing for permanent and fade resistant printing. Thank you!!

A couple of questions if I may: if you didn't use the inks that came with the 15000 EcoTank, were you able to purchase new empty cartridges to fill with the Hiipoo inks or did you somehow empty the original ones? And I presume you can only make one transfer from one print? It really is bringing professional artwork into the amateur/home market! Truly fascinating!

The printer comes empty, but with ink to fill it after unboxing. Instead of using the regular inks to fill the tanks....I filled with sublimation ink Instead. You can really only get one quality print with the image.....however you can get a faded print if you were to use the print again.

I emptied my original ink bottles that came with my printer and then added my Hiipo sublimation ink into those bottles, then I put the ink that came with my printer into those bottles and saved it BUT I added labels on those bottles to be able to save for my other Epson printer that uses plain ink. Hiipo does make their ink compatible with Epson printers but it is much more expensive than their sublimation refills. I just open the bottles I have converted to Epson sublimation ink and keep those bottles to refill with. I do not have the bigger one I have one I purchased from Sam's Club Epson 2760 @ $249.00 it does a fantastic job for family and friends and quilt making for me.

I have watched many of your videos and I want to tell you they are all excellent. I have a few questions: I am working on my first tee shirt quilt and I am planning on using pictures. I currently do not have the funds to do sublimation, I noticed there is colorfast paper that can be used. What are the big differences in sublimation compared to using colorfast paper? What to both ways look like after 1 wash or many washes? Is there any way to shrink the cost of sublimation (I.e.) do you have to have a heat press?

The June Taylor colorfast fabric sheets work pretty well, Ice used them many times. Depending on your printer, they xan produce nice looking results. IMO, the fabric seems a bit "stiff" even after washing and I have noticed some fading of the pictures. I would say yes, you have to have some kind of heatpress for sublimation BECAUSE you need specific temperatures and they get hotter than an iron. Have you looked into outsourcing sublimation? Along with many other, I provide sublimation as a service over on Etsy.

Hi Lisa. I love your videos. You are very thorough and explain steps well. I do have a question. On the photo you printed above, when you heat press it, the photo seems mirrored on the finished project. When you started on the project you were on the right side of the other person, but when you pressed you were on the left. I'm just confused about the mirroring.

Hi Trisha, when doing sublimation, you mirror image the design when you print, that way when you press, your image will be the right side up ♡

Hello Lisa! Thank you so much for this video. I’m a fashion student and for a project I was thinking to make my own pattern by printing a huge photo on a top. Do you think that with sublimation printing the image will crack on the fabric if I stretch it wearing it? Or it gets deep into the fabric? (Sorry my english might be not understandable) thank you so much sorry for the disturb!!
