Subject Verb Agreement | English Lesson | Common Grammar Mistakes
SUBJECT-VERB AGREEMENT is one of the most common mistakes that English learners make! It's so easy to forget that the verb form in English sentences changes, depending on the subject!
- I AM hungry...
- She IS thirsty...
- They ARE fighting...
- We HAVE been travelling
- It HAS been so long.
- She DOESN'T know...
- You DON'T know...
- They LIKE to travel.
- She LIKES to travel.
This English lesson will help you to review subject-verb agreement rules and fix your English grammar mistakes!
I will also explain how these rules work in more complicated sentences. For example: sentences where the subject is a noun phrase, or where the subject and the verb are separated by a relative clause.

I am upgrading my english so I can go to university. English is my first language and only language. Your videos have been very helpful. I must say though, I know all of these things, but I can not explain, or identify them. It goes to show how amazing our brain is at learning a language just by using it and having feed back from the people around you. Also reading. To anyone learning english at a second language, you have every right to say this language is completely frigged. The best advice I can give is read in english. Read as many books as you can in english. Awesome videos Emma!
