Yes. That's absolutely correct. "As well as" refers to the first noun "Ravi", which is singular

@@theshrishteaaa Actually what sir did was correct. "The members who contributed" is a set of people. So the question is to be asked on verb "Is" in the sentence. The person who asked the doubt is wrong here, although negligible is an adjective, Sir Actually asked the question Who 'Is" negligible. So the answer comes to the number of etc etc. So its correct. hope it clarified ur doubt. Peace.

Here "food" is a mass noun. So the it will be "some of the food is left." Take an another example, "there is a lot of water." You can't say , there are a lot of water. Mass nouns are always singular.

Typically collective nouns are singular but when there is a divide or a split within the collective noun, in that case plural verb is used

But also like sentences we have to select second subject but in this second subject the word is students and it is collective noun and it is refered as singular noun and last the answer should be singular i.e has but why got have Can you please give the explanation

students is not a collective noun it's plural if they would have given "group of students" then that would be colllectuive noun
