    This was such a relief to watch. My doctors scared me into taking Levothyroxine 50mcg for 3.11 TSH by saying conception may be difficult and chances of miscarriage or poor mental development in baby could happen. Atleast I do not have to stress over this now. Thank you so much for this video!

    Wow, both my REI & endocrinologist said it needs to be under 2.5 for fertility. My REI won’t do Ivf if it’s above 2.5! One month my FSH was a 13 ( normally around a 5/6) & they canceled my cycle also. They won’t do ivf over a 12.

    Do TSH levels fluctuate at all? My TSH was 5.69 as of two months ago, and I'm kinda conflicted on being put on hormones. On one hand, I'm not sure how much to trust that one test result, particularly since I hadn't read the fine print and had taken a multivitamin containing biotin the night before my test. I also was never symptomatic, apart from irregular periods (which I've had since before my TSH was high) and more recently some heavy spotting. On the other hand, in the five weeks I've been on thyroid hormones, I've ovulated and have started the first natural period that I've had in seven months, and I didn't spot at all during that time, so maybe this was a problem? Taking thyroid hormones will also help my OBGYN rule out thyroid disorders if I do have other fertility issues that need to be addressed.

    I'm an IVF patient. I had a vaginal ultrasound at 7 weeks and the next day I started spotting. I spotted for 2 days, stopped two days and again for 2 and a half days. I haven't spotted again in days. They offer me another vag. ultrasound to check if everything is still going well, but I'm scared. My next app is at 11 weeks. What should I do?

  • @InfertilityTV

    @InfertilityTV

    1) Both TSH levels are in the normal range. 2) We would not have recommended starting levothyroxine 3) TSH levels can fluctuate and there is variability in the lab which gives rise to these small fluctuations

    I've had hypothyroidosm for many years which seems to cause me to not ovulate, thus my infertility. I am highly medicated with thyroid replacement in order to get my T3 and T4 into the normal range as well as keep antibodies at bay, but on all my labs my TSH is consistently showing up as only 0.01😩. Is that normal when medicated?

    Can't say anything about your case but at the world famous IVF1 Fertility center, we would consider a TSH of 0.01 as evidence of over treatment. A person with a level that low is functionally hyperthyroid.

I was going through my medical records and looking at my levels before they put me on thyroid meds and they were in the normal range so I'm gonna ask to get off the thyroid meds because I shouldn't of been on them in the first place. my level was a 2.8 before they started me on it and I have unexplained infertility and reoccurring miscarriages and I think they were just looking for something to put me on.
