I’m 63 and have driven every type of vehicle. The Outback I bought this winter blew my mind the way it sticks to snow covered roads. We did have the wimpiest winter ever. Used my snowblower once! 🇨🇦

You won't regret getting a subaru , I live in the Sierra nevadas last year we had over 800 inches never had a problem, just bought a wilderness and couldn't be happier

Listen I’ll be honest.. if you’re good at upkeep for your vehicles, I would go with one.. I own a 2013 legacy now. The amount of times that I have been floating past trucks that were stuck in 8 inches of snow.. more than I can count 😂.. they are absolutely indestructible

We had the worst winter so far in Norway last winter. Never had any issues with my 2008 Impreza. Actually I had fun while loads of people had issues starting/sliding off the roads everywhere. Best first car for me, highly recommended for safety.

We had hell of snowstorm in March last year and the car was buried, and I was in no mood to shovel but had to get to town, I cleaned off the car so I could see and wasn't sure if the Outback would make it out being buried. Back and forth a few times and out it came with the snow halfway up the door. I have to say I was impressed.

Always got a soft spot for Subarus. Great cars. 2018 wrx still serving me well.

Our third Subaru is a 2020 Forester Sport and we( like all our Subarus) love it. We’re retired so we only have 29,000 miles on it. It has the X-Drive, and it has handled everything winter can throw at it here in Chicagoland!

I like your Subaru crosstrek they are my favorite.

i prefer my sti but the subaru cvt is engineered by the same division that they use for heavy machinery, it might actually be the best cvt on the market.

It IS the best CVT out there! We work on them all the time, usually just fluid changes and valve bodies. Most of the ones we replace have never been serviced and when we ask if they have been, the answer is always, " I thought they were a sealed transmission and the fluid is lifetime"

I have a 2021 with a 2.5 inch lift kit and BF Goodrich all terrain tires and it will go through that like it’s just another Sunday drive

I have a 1st-gen Crosstrek...2016 2.slo/CVT. It does really well in the snow for an econohatch. The AWD system is impressive, especially considering that these cars were well under $30K USD when new. The Subaru chain-driven CVTs, and CVT service recommendations, have gotten better since the first model year or so. Subaru used to say that it was a "lifetime fluid". I'd drain and refill a Subaru CVT every 30K-60K miles though. They're not an exciting tranny, but they can give great MPG in an Impreza/Crosstrek on a mostly-hwy commute. I've topped 40MPG average on a tank in my Crosstrek.

@@Jordan-or8wutraction control is awful for snow and slush. What are you talking about? Traction control makes it so if one tire loses traction, ALL of the power goes to only that tire, meaning your other tires stop moving entirely, and the one tire that has no tire has no chance of gaining traction. They teach this in drivers ed. always turn off TC on snow.

I use michelin Cross Trail 2s and I will not get stopped with my crosstrek

I live in Brazil and we don't have many options from Subaru. Here we only have the New 2022 models, Forester 2.0 aspirated and hybrid and the XV 2.0 aspirated hybrid. I'm thinking about purchasing the XV 2.0 model 2021. 156HP and 20 kgfm, FB20 engine What do they say to me? We only have 3 stores and a few workshops, but they say Subaru doesn't break down!

you must be on crack, just becuase its an automatic your saying its not a "real" subaru? automatic subarus have been available since like forever....they have 100% real always on full time symmentrical awd! in regards to how they put the power down the only difference between a manual crosstrek and an automatic crosstrek is their power distribution, manual crosstreks have a 50/50 front to rear power distribution where automatic crosstreks have a default 60/40 front to rear power distribution, in addition to that the manual crosstrek is always locked to that 50/50(which is really cool in my opinion) where the automatic crosstrek has a dynamic system that under normal traction conditions distributes power 60/40 but can also dynamiclly alter the power distribution front to rear and side to side(torque vectoring) giving it the capabilty to detect which wheel has the most traction and which wheels dont and with that info it will then determnine how much power to distribute to each wheel, but in addition to that the automatic crosstrek has xmode, which when activated will enhance the awd sytem and transmission to put the power down even harder, its like putting the awd system into hardcore mode and it really does work! but in addition to that you can also just turn off traction control and together with xmode the little crosstrek turns into a litte mini tank that's almost unstoppable! The manual crosstek dont have xmode but just like the auto crosstrek you can turn off traction control which will also make the manual crosstek more capable in certain offroad situations like sand, mud and snow and when climing steep slippery hills.... for proff go to my channel and view the hundreds of videos i have offroad testing several different new subarus like the crosstrek, outback and the ascent.
