  Our third Subaru is a 2020 Forester Sport and we( like all our Subarus) love it. We’re retired so we only have 29,000 miles on it. It has the X-Drive, and it has handled everything winter can throw at it here in Chicagoland!

  I have a 2021 with a 2.5 inch lift kit and BF Goodrich all terrain tires and it will go through that like it’s just another Sunday drive

  I’m 63 and have driven every type of vehicle. The Outback I bought this winter blew my mind the way it sticks to snow covered roads. We did have the wimpiest winter ever. Used my snowblower once! 🇨🇦

  I have a 1st-gen Crosstrek...2016 2.slo/CVT. It does really well in the snow for an econohatch. The AWD system is impressive, especially considering that these cars were well under $30K USD when new. The Subaru chain-driven CVTs, and CVT service recommendations, have gotten better since the first model year or so. Subaru used to say that it was a "lifetime fluid". I'd drain and refill a Subaru CVT every 30K-60K miles though. They're not an exciting tranny, but they can give great MPG in an Impreza/Crosstrek on a mostly-hwy commute. I've topped 40MPG average on a tank in my Crosstrek.

  We had hell of snowstorm in March last year and the car was buried, and I was in no mood to shovel but had to get to town, I cleaned off the car so I could see and wasn't sure if the Outback would make it out being buried. Back and forth a few times and out it came with the snow halfway up the door. I have to say I was impressed.

  I live in Brazil and we don't have many options from Subaru. Here we only have the New 2022 models, Forester 2.0 aspirated and hybrid and the XV 2.0 aspirated hybrid. I'm thinking about purchasing the XV 2.0 model 2021. 156HP and 20 kgfm, FB20 engine What do they say to me? We only have 3 stores and a few workshops, but they say Subaru doesn't break down!

  You won't regret getting a subaru , I live in the Sierra nevadas last year we had over 800 inches never had a problem, just bought a wilderness and couldn't be happier

  Listen I’ll be honest.. if you’re good at upkeep for your vehicles, I would go with one.. I own a 2013 legacy now. The amount of times that I have been floating past trucks that were stuck in 8 inches of snow.. more than I can count 😂.. they are absolutely indestructible

  We had the worst winter so far in Norway last winter. Never had any issues with my 2008 Impreza. Actually I had fun while loads of people had issues starting/sliding off the roads everywhere. Best first car for me, highly recommended for safety.

  i prefer my sti but the subaru cvt is engineered by the same division that they use for heavy machinery, it might actually be the best cvt on the market.

  It IS the best CVT out there! We work on them all the time, usually just fluid changes and valve bodies. Most of the ones we replace have never been serviced and when we ask if they have been, the answer is always, " I thought they were a sealed transmission and the fluid is lifetime"

  My Forester handled 10” fresh snow like a champ. I outmaneuvered another brand 4x4. He was able to fwrd and reverse out after few attempts but Forester had no hesitation and did not get stuck once.
