Subaru School - Secret Pin Code Access

Автокөліктер мен көлік құралдары

Welcome to Subaru School with Tyson the Subaru Specialist. In this session of Subaru School I am going to teach you how to disable the proximity feature on your key so that you can lock it in your vehicle and set up and use the secret pin code to access your vehicle.

Very informative. I was called by a used car lot that purchased a 2019 Crosstrek at an auction. He only has one key for it and the remote part of it doesn't work. It's a push start and it will work to start the car. When I try to get into remote programming or try to add another key it tells me that the car is in a Special Mode and Conditions Are Not Correct to access the ECU. Any help would be great. Thanks

What do you mean "the remote part of it doesn't work"? It sounds like it's an ECU problem and you'd likely need a Subaru compatible tech computer to diag it.

@@TysonTheSubaruSpecialist The key will start the car if it is anywhere in the car but none of the buttons work. I confirmed the buttons are all outputting the correct frequency and after removing the battery from it then it only starts when holding the key on the button. I have absolutely no codes in any modules and can read the data pids from all the modules. I can access the number of keys programmed but when I try to add a key it says it's in a special mode.

@@vernhood4568 I've never heard of the Special Mode. I'd recommend taking that to a dealer to get looked at. That sounds strange.
