@@austinalia9604 both, BOV followed by compressor surge from air going the opposite way theough the turbo and the compressor blades cut up the air giving it the stutututu sound

Forza has a pretty good flutter its just lacking the spooling sound you literally can't hear turbos in most cars except the blow off

@@szymon6207 It isn't surge. Surge is when you get a barking sound while under throttle. This sound comes from when he lets off the gas and the throttle body slams shut. The air goes back towards the turbo and causes it to chop the air. Can also happen if the BoV is too tight.

@@thedominionx there are two types of compressor surge. Wide open throttle compressor surge and closed throttle compressor surge. Both produce the "flutter" sound. Get your facts right.

@@malachilatroy depends. I would be careful on modern factory turbos running higher boost pressures. But a good garret with beefy thrust washes no problem

Second fun fact: This term originated because of the Holden VL turbo as it came with no Factory BOV/Diverter causing it to do fully a hectic Dose

It happens when the throttle body is closed suddenly and the blowoff valve or bypass valve doesn't release excess boost pressure quickly enough, causing the extra air to run back through the turbo, causing the flutter. It's said to be bad for the turbo and to cause premature wear.

I could listen to that all day.

@@BaddaBigBoom Late reply but the reason it's always child slaves digging for Cobalt is because the African countries that have the Cobalt are corrupt, ran by companies that collude with the government and are impossible to regulate. So if you want Cobalt you just have to source it through them who unfortunately use kids

Used to be a really popular mod here in Australia back in the early to mid 2000's. Never really hear "doses" anymore. Look up the VL Turbo, they were really well known here for the turbo flutters/doses
