How to change the PCV Valve Hose and PCV Valve for a Gen 1 Subaru Ascent and Gen 6 Subaru Outback Turbo & Subaru Legacy Turbo.
This also addresses how I dealt with Subaru TSB 11-204-23 "PCV Hose Design Change to Address Customer Complaints of Smells"

SUBJECT: PCV Hose Design Change / Odor from Engine Area
The hose and clamp to the PCV Assembly has been changed, to address owner's complaints about oil/gas smell.
For vehicles within the Basic New Car Limited, California Emissions Performance & Defect Warranty 5yr/50,000 miles, or Federal Emissions Performance Warranty 2year/24,000, this repair is covered under warranty.
Warranty - Short version:
California cars: 5yr/50K miles
All others: 3yr/36K miles.

NOTE: The engine picture in the TSB is looking at the BACK/CVT SIDE of the engine, UNDER and BEHIND the intercooler..
Part numbers are accurate for the Ascent as of 08/01//2023 - always double check for the most current part numbers when you do work on your Subies.
For those doing it themselves, you will need:
HOSE ASSEMBLY-PCV 11815AC88D
The new clamps are included with the new PCV hose assembly.
You will also need these for the intercooler.
GASKET-INTER COOLER 21896AA130
GASKET-AIR INT DUCT 14497AA080
IF YOU CHOOSE TO REPLACE THE PCV VALVE
For those doing the PCV valve change, since you're already there, you need this part number:
11810AA210 - PCV Valve and both o-rings
OUTBACK/LEGACY TURBO OWNERS:
This video should work for you, but always doublecheck the Service Manual to be sure all torque values and procedures are the same.
