Wow, I did EXACTLY the same mistake during my first run of Y5! And came up with the exact same solution. Don't think RGG studios thought this part through very well. You never need to use fire extinguishers before this spot.

Tip : When you reaching red jacket dude with fire extinguishers, Just enter Dragon Spirit mode which gave you superarmor so you should get through this without any problem. Otherwise, You will be like Subaru lmao
