There will be a lot more of that "no overnight parking" BS going forward, the powers that shouldn't be don't want us travelling and getting outdoors, they want us shut up in our "15 minute cities". Great video Andy, keep camping and stay free 👍🏻

Interesting vid mate of a block of the Lakes I perhaps know the least. I'm really pissed off that Bowness parking has now got extortionate parking fees, with no overnight stuff. This has the potential to really mess up a plan I've had for a while. I've wanted to take in a wild-camping trip, exploring Ennerdale, seeing all the rewilding stuff, etc, but this really messes it up 😭. I might have to take a chance.......fifty dabs, risky though! I've checked and you can get a year's pass for 25 quid but that's still daft for one trip. Anyway, enough of me grumbling. Good stuff Andy. 👌

Fair doos its a fair bit of weight to hump around and the volume is quite a consumer of pack space but its suiting me for the longer nights and i can just about get all my warmest winter gear in my 70litre Zpack . My mate has just bought a set of thicker poles to beef up his Sigma so 9.6mm instead of 8.something and i am going to get a couple of guy out points put on the hem of the sil nylon section and buy the thicker poles for mine too which will come in at 1.5kg . The same mate has the Chinook too so i will keep you informed on his thoughts although when i looked inside his chinook i preferred the space of the Sigma and i just love how the material functions but never say never in the pursuit of the perfect tent :)@@itsmescottp

It seems that camping overnight isn’t wanted anymore. Instead of saying no camping, they’re doing it in a dodgy way, through limiting parking. Isn’t that the way governments start to rein us in, little by little. 🫤🫤🫤🫤
