Onew is on a league of his own as a vocalist. That's not an opinion, that's a fact. My dude is insanely talented. But... There's no such thing as song meant for x number of ppl. Sure someone might compose thinking of a group, but that has more to do with what will fit that group's concept and members' vocal ability, but that won't be a hindrance if a single person wants to cover it. Any song can be divided and/or rearranged, you can change key and etc. That's how kpop groups will cover songs sang by soloists, or cover songs sang by groups that have more or less members than their group.

As a SHINee fan for over a decade, I’m really impressed by NMIXX. Their live vocals kind of remind me of the boys in their early days, especially those clips of Kyujin running while singing remind me of Jonghyun doing pushups during an encore 😂

Onew's voice is national treasure, not only has good tone but also has incredible technique. Talent, experience, working hard = perfection

As a vocal instructor, all vocalists here are so wonderful, this was so exciting and such a delight to watch as a fan of all! Onew's breath control as always is amazing. Fun fact- he holds the record for the longest held note in Kpop. Love watching talented and passionate people do their thing. Love them all!

Once Onew said SHINee's Back at the beginning,it's game over guys 🤩🤩

I really really loved Lily and Sullyoon's cover, it was fresh, had their identity, fantastically executed...it was such a pleasure to listen to. If i could i'd have voted for them. But wow, did Onew's singing give me goosebumps. Somehow that classic SHINee sound is timeless, and Onew singing all 5 parts is insane.

I found the NMIXX performance to be quite enjoyable, as they delivered a rendition that truly did justice to the original. However, it is undeniable that the classic voice of ONEW possesses a unique and distinctive quality that is synonymous with the SHINEE signature. Overall, it was a highly enjoyable experience.

We are witnessing the beginning of Onew’s era of the great defense!!

The NMIXX girls did an amazing job, and I thought that ethereal intro was quite beautiful 😍. But then again, they're up against the Leader of Shinee, the vocal king Lee Jinki ❤🎉

As a shawol whos very picky with covers, Sullyoon and Lily were fantastic. Many idols/group dont do cover of SHINee's songs justice if im being honest. But damn Sullyons voice, I think I became a fan.

@@noahfan2719 It's just that the words sound the same! The word for yellowtail amberjack (bangeo), a type of fish, sounds the same as the word for a defense (bangeo). He talks about his birthday (which is December 14) because bangeo (the fish version) is known to be tastier and commonly eaten in the winter. I'm guessing Lily didn't understand because she grew up in Australia - she might have never heard about the fish. Basically... it's a really lame dad joke. 😭 Exactly the kind he loves making.

@@bubblegumee2well do yourself a favour and go watch any Nmixx stage practice, you will see a Shinee level performance, no joke, they’re that good. I’m not big on ranking my favs, I think it’s a silly exercise, but I can tell you that in terms of abilities those girls are really something else.

SM is truly amazing for finding so many top-tier vocalists. Their legacy continues through their artists.
