It's funny remembering now how JYP and YG (Yang Hyun Suk) were fighting each other to get Lily into their companies during season 4 of Kpop Star. I'd love to see more solo work from her, since it's hard to get enough of her voice when she's singing in a large group. But she probably made the right choice to go to JYP. YG recruited a lot of really good talent from Kpop Star and then just ignored them once he got them. Lee Hi had to spend a total of 6 years (out of 7) basically doing nothing at YG. Katie Kim was supposed to have an album produced for her by YG as her prize for winning season 4...and YG didn't do it. AKMU still survives at YG...probably only because they write and produce everything themselves.

Yedam English so satisfying, if you close your eyes and listening his voice, you will think the singer is not korean.

Lily's singing is like if she was hitting some kind of beautiful clear glass ornaments in winter that look thin & fragile but are actually super strong, from the inside & has some warmth in it. It rings all around the edges, yet if there was any water inside, it won't leak due to the strong control she has. But still, because it is brimming, that's why it feels like it fills up around your earphone even if you use a cheap ones.

When Lily signs is like what I imagine an angel would sign in heaven. Her voice is powerful and captivating but at the same time so sweet and calming. It feels like a warm huge in a winter and a flower bloom in spring. No matter what you still want more, her voice is so addictive. She really is a unique girl with a gift from God.

Even though she has an extremely unique and characteristic timbre, to the point of being almost "immutable", almost mono-colored and uniform, she uses her very advanced technique to adapt to each song she sings in an extremely natural way, and this is extremely difficult for her type of timbre. It's not enough to have great technique, you have to have a great sense of music!

the most replayed part from this vids are the I AM, eyes nose lips, and close the door opens, ALL songs have lily in it. indeed, our vocal queen

I know the main point of this show is to have solo artists come on during their promotions to showcase both their vocal talent and promote their new songs, but this multi-cast joint singing from different groups really hits the spot and delivers something that is sorely needed in KPOP. I really wish this could continue to be an ongoing thing and we get to see duets from many different combinations in the future!

yedam was very popular predebut when he was shown to be the future member of yg's new boy group. everyone was excited to hear more from him. then treasure debuted, he left, and now he's slowly making his way back in the industry once again. talented people like yedam has always a place in the industry. no doubt one of the best 4th gen best vocalists. but im actually moreee excited if he make it in the western. his voice is just ✨✨

Yedam is just... indescribably soulful. I've never heard a male kpop singer with this level of understanding of R&B. And of course Lily slayed. I loved Minnie's high notes. Leave The Door Open was sooooo good!

Hoping to see more of Lily and Yedam collab in the future. Both came from Kpop Star and are now so successful in their own paths. They’re still young so I can’t wait to see how much they’ll grow as singers in the future.
