Stylophone Gen X-1 Walkthrough and audio demo for beginners

Музыка

In this video, I'll be walking through the features and controls on the Dubreq Stylophone Gen X-1 and demontrating how the controls actually affect the sounds, it's an audio demo for beginners, so you can hear how the stylophone sounds in action.
But it's also for those of you who are interested in picking up this cheap and fun synth.
Dubreq did send me this Stylophone to try out. But have had no say in the production of this video. Besides, this isn't a review, but a demo/tutorial.
Should you wanna buy it for yourself then check it out below (affiliate link):

I've been wanting to buy a Stylophone for years and I still haven't. They look fun, though, and this was probably the most thorough demo I've watched. Great sounds with the Multistomp added at the end! If you don't mind, what hardware and software are you using to film these videos? I'd like to film a couple like this but I'm not sure how. Camtasia?

Thanks a lot. I'm glad you found the vid useful. The Stylophone is definitely worth picking up... Since it's so cheap and since it's controlled with a stylus, it kinda makes you play differently from normal keyboard synths. I use a Fuji Xt3 and Panasonic S5ii to record my vids (sometimes a C920 webcam when I'm lazy or just livestreaming). Then I edit it in Adobe Premiere. Though if you want something free and super powerful, so that you can grow with it. Then download Davinci Resolve.

This is such a fun little device to play around with and really my introduction to hardware synths. Bought one about a year or so ago, really fun incorporating some of the noises and effects it can make into some of my own music. Are you planning on using this within your lofi ambient sets? Great video ✨

It's a great way into hardware synth. Wish I'd got it years ago. Yeah, i might integrate it into my LoFi ambient sets. But mostly i was gonna use it to make songs and for fx noises on my 9 Odd sounds video series.

The now disgraced children's television entertainer Rolf Harris served for several years as the Stylophone's advertising spokesman in the United Kingdom and appeared on many "play-along" records sold by the manufacturer.

@@MartinYamMoller In the UK in the 1970s and 1980 the Stylophone was heavily advertised by and so kassociated with children's television entertainer Rolf Harris. After the Jimmy Savile sexual abuse scandal broke in late 2012, Harris was arrested as part of the Operation Yewtree police investigation. He was questioned in May 2013 regarding historical allegations of sexual offences. He denied any wrongdoing, and was bailed without charge. In August 2013, Harris was again arrested by Operation Yewtree officers and charged with nine counts of indecent assault dating to the 1980s, involving two girls between 14 and 16 years old.
