I got mine and wrote to them saying I was left handed so they sent me more of the styluses with longer wires on and a hand written letter cheers fellas

That thing is still the best low budget entry-level analog -synth experience you can get because that little box is insanely fun to use and tinker with. Got it because it had such a nice 1950s kind of experimental electronic sound. Pair it with an effect pedal and you'd be amazed how massive it can sound. The delay is a little noisy but it adds to the charme. Even with these few parameters to change you can still get a nice range of different sounds out of it. I just wish it had a MIDI input or CV input jack. I wonder if anyone has modded one of these like that so far?

Wait, the Gen X1 or the original, because I'm pretty sure the current ones they produce can be turned into a midi board...

My brother bought this for me and it was great to get an overview of what it can do. The ability to manipulate sound coming in through aux looks fun

Protip. Use the other end of the stylus for the touchsensitive surface above the metallic contact field :) As you can see the other end of the stylus has a little pointy tip. It's perfect to use for it and it prevents the metallic tip to wear off or getting dirty.

Just snapped up an open box one on EBay. Thanks for the tip to look out for these!

Very underated channel.

I could see this as a way to do Hawkwind-like sounds. Just get the right kind of amp, add a little extra sound processing, a good field recorder, a nice budget rhythm machine (like a KORG Volca Beat), and any good bunch of Dave Brock riffs. Voila! Instant Space Rock Goodness!

My first synth!! The stylus wire they use for that model is crappy, had to send it back twice and finally just take it apart and replace the wire myself which wasn't too hard.. otherwise i would def recommend

You can pick up what used to be veeeeery collectible original stylophones which used to sell for stupid money with the record, in the box, with all the manuals and everything. Not so collectible anymore because of one reason. Can you guess what it is yet?

attack, decay and lfo are not fx... they are the envelopes that your sound goes through... they determine the starting rate and the ending rate of the frequency... the lfo is a low frequency oscilator... brings a wave form to your basic oscilation... so a sort of tremelo or woble effect if its slow or an extra crunch to your waveshape when its fast... delay and revirb are indeed effects ;-) you do really not know how to use a synth... haha I recommend doing some basic study on synthesis and then you'll be able to get some sounds out that you like ;-)
