Holy crap this is the best in game combat showcase I've ever seen. No cuts, minimal edits, using every single skill and weapon both characters have, even showing how quick to adapt Dante is with his strategy when Vergil starts playing around his attacks. Even shows how the brothers keep saying "let's end this" and proceed to not end this at all. It's fantastic and should be absolutely hailed as nearly perfect.

I can't imagine how many fights you must have recorded to not just perfectly align most of the moves during every cut between characters, but to also align the positions in the arena where the moves are performed... Absolutely stunning video!

13:38 I've never heard that voiceline before! This entire video is just so, SO fun to watch. Balrog and Beowulf being replaced by bare knuckle brawling, the constant clashes between them all, made it so entertaining. The use of different weapons is also so interesting; Dante using E&I alongside King Cerberus in order to split his attention between Vergil and his Clone after using DSD for the whole fight prior was fantastic. It makes it actually feel like he uses certain weapons for certain situations, rather than just using whatever strikes his fancy. The use of their Devil Triggers often giving them a serious edge for a moment actually makes it feel like they change in power, and the way you engineered each little clash and interaction between all their moves makes it truly feel like a battle of brothers who know each other inside and out. This is the definitive showcase of Dante and Vergil's battle atop the tree, I think. Because it does what almost no other video does; it gives both brothers advantages and disadvantages, ups and downs. They both score wins, meaning that the other scores losses. When it comes right down to it, this actually feels like a draw, as it should be.

The transitions for switching between both Dante and Vergil is so seamless! I also like how you made them actually get hit instead of all those other fights where it's a no damage battle for the playing character. This is exactly what it would look like if they fought without holding back. This is one of the greatest dmc5 videos of all time!

The transition actually happens at 1:38, they pre-planned the cut by positioning the camera behind boss Vergil. 1:30 to just before 1:38 is still player Dante. When Vergil dashes forward, it cuts, then it's player Vergil. There's a chance I'm incorrect but I loved the seamless cuts and went through closely examining the (most) clean transitions.

FUCK YES!!!! This is the best Dante vs Vergil duel ever. I'm in absolute awe, so many moments had me giddy with excitement and OUGH, THAT ENDING!! 10/10, absolute perfection.

4:36 small detail but swapping out the mistranslated "my son means nothing to me" line? absolute appreciation my guy, the moment lands *far* better when Vergil's blatantly confused by Dante's words rather than weirdly spiteful about something he never knew about lmao Also contrary to others I'm INCREDIBLY grateful for the persistent slow-mo!! I simply lack the hack-and-slash eye for following twitchy, frame-perfect combat demonstrations; this was very refreshing to have everything like wind-up, execution, impact, and reaction clearly telegraphed throughout.

This is why I love developers that put time into their game you can see the similarities and differences of the way they fight because this good camera when it comes to every weapon that Dante uses he's more about style than precision he literally uses a sword as a bad at one point, he's also a boxer, and he proceeds to do a Brazilian break dance style on Virgil just a Dodge out of the way, an in-between the moments when they both have a break it's it feels like both brothers are playing with Dante being the one that's just all jokes, and Dante's devil feels like he's an actual devil the explosions and all the havoc that he creates it feels like he's not fully controlling it yet. Meanwhile with Virgil his sword lashes are precise he carries himself well when he's throwing something he's waiting for the right moment for him to slip for a quick second, he's also more of a kung fu kid where he plans kicks and punches, and when it comes to his style he doesn't show off but he shows up instead showing it like how a professional would do it, and then Virgil's devil feels like he's been sitting with it so long that it's just a part of his body the man doesn't even show any chaos in that form still the same precise to man. This game is amazing❤

This is epic 3:10 is so good- the choreography but really the camera angle side to side shift and slow mo 6:45- awesome too

I won't but who knows? In short for every video: just record until you got it, you got it? Try to record that but better. The process takes way too long and contains the ideas, mods and considering what can be done with trial and error, editing and recording until it's ready. Seeing Dante and Vergil put the swords away and just box was something I never knew I needed so badly in my life

The way you made it look like their attacks clashed at 5:09 absolutely epic

I'm simply speechless. The amount of creativity goes through the roof. Saving Cavaliere and Cerberus to deal with the Doppelganger was amazing. The switch between Dante and Vergil as the player characters was seamless. The only thing missing would be the Dance showoff but I think that would detract from the serious tone of the fight. This is definitely one of the videos I will be returning to rewatch from time to time. Shoutout to the one Dante quote I've never heard before being that takes care of your little puppet. When does he even says that?

This is THE definitive gameplay cut of Dante vs. Vergil! Oh, man, that was simply perfectly done! The cuts were so clean that it was easy to tell when the playable character got switched, yet made the fight have such a wonderful back-and-forth flow that simply sells how powerful these two are. And as the fight goes on, they pull out more tricks, before finally pulling out ALL the stops to finish with a massive flurry of blows the likes of which we've never seen before.

The amount of detailed effort in the video is evident, plus how in the bloody world you made it look like you controlled both Dante and Vergil seamlessly in one video? It's really beautiful to watch and the most unique trait about it: both showcased evenly, no one sided affair!

I love how random recommendations sometimes bring up a gem, but this? I have no words to express my feelings. No hyperbole. THIS is THE best DMC5 video… Everything from how you framed the Vergil being a dad bit to the the fist fight. And when you used the Vergil unsheath intro to transition it was at that moment I knew that it couldn’t get better than this video.

1:09 i’ve seen countless DMC5 videos, and I have never once noticed before this one how Dante tosses his sword into his other hand after the swing around combo.

Dude, what a superb video. Seeing the fight slowed down like this really puts into perspective how their styles differ, and it also highlights how good this game looks. Like, it's nearing 5 years old and still looks absolutely amazing.

I like the idea that for a good portion of the fight they didn’t use weapons and just beat the shit out of each other, just like brothers should.

Damn, that was a cinematic fight, and very enjoyable one at that

this video is almost a year old, and I still don’t understand how it was made, on the one hand: a co-op mod with a pre-thought-out script, on the other: movements that only bots can do. In general, the author did everything so cool that respect + over9000

Absolute Masterpiece. This is a isn't just a love letter to the game, you took it out, had dinner with it, then made a family with it. You deserve a special mention or easter egg in the next installment.

This is simply a work of art. A perfect example of how Dante and Vergil's fights are. 00:26 I like how this section mainly emphasizes the twin's blades, the Rebellion and Yamato. It perfectly showcases Dante's brash and ruthless attacks, and Vergil's quick and deadly strikes. 02:53 This section shows off Dante's hand to hand combat prowess in the first half. While although Vergil struggles a bit, he quickly adapts to his brother's mix of quick punches and powerful kicks with a deadly combination of martial arts. 05:39 Here, we are given a glimpse of Dante and Vergil's Sin Devil Trigger forms. It's like a faint mix of red and blue streaks of light dancing around each other. 06:45 They later come to a stalemate, dropping to their base forms. Once more, the Legendary Devil Hunter and the Alpha and the Omega are merely gauging their power levels. With Dante and Vergil utilizing the Royal Guard style and Mirage Edge respectively, it seems as though this fight is like a see-saw: one combatant seems to have the advantage at first, then the other climbs back up. 08:40 Neither fighter is pulling their punches here, with Vergil unleashing his ultimate move, Judgement Cut End, with Dante unsuccessfully trying to transform into SDT to escape. Soon later, the sides are even once again. 09:51 The tides of battle have now turned into Vergil's favor as he uses the attacks of his astral clone and himself to corner Dante, giving him little breathing room to counter. 11:22 Quickly adapting to his brother's strategies, Dante pulls another trick up his sleeve by launching a series of attacks with the King Cerberus weapon, keeping Vergil and his clone busy. 12:56 Now, the advantage goes to Dante, using Cavaliere to block each and every one of Vergil's fierce attacks. This fight is really, REALLY well done. Your editing between the voice lines and point of views is spot on and makes this whole thing feel mega cinematic. This is actually really fun to just watch over and over. I also like how you labeled all the segments with cool titles. Also, gotta be real, if you put out a video that was just this edited version of Bury the Light I'd listen to it constantly; it's so aces! You did an amazing job on it. 14:52 gives me the Motivation Chills every single time I swear.

Just wanted to put this out there. I have "Bury the light deep within" (vocals only) set as my notifications and the thing is I was watching this video and as soon as Vergil used Judgement Cut End, someone sent me a message and the notification started playing so it was a pretty cool coincidence I guess. Anyways, this was an amazing video. I have seen a lot of cinematic DMC fights but yours was the best by far. Everything from the choreography to the camera angles and the directions. Absolutely amazing. Keep making more content like this. Its amazing

This video was a rollercoaster for me Going from "hmm, this is neat" to my jaw dropping halfway through and grinning like an idiot for the rest. Some of the stuff you did I didn't think was even possible. 10/10 Sparda tier video fr fr no cap I know it defeats the purpose a bit but I'm really curious to see how this would look at fully regular speed

An exceptional, SSS-tier video! You've really captured what DMC could look like as an film series. My only real complaint is that it's a bit slow for my liking, but that's just my opinion. Still a well-deserved like. A handful of my favorite moments and timestamps are: 3:34 - The absolute mic drop music-wise as Vergil changes to hand-to-hand combat is stellar, the entire sequence is positively beautiful and amusing to watch. 8:21 - Something about this section feels contemplative or melancholy, like the dueling duo are taking a moment to breathe and ponder. 9:55 - The build-up of the drums when Dante fires upon both Vergil and his Doppelganger as they approach, all while the camera spins around the former Sparda brother is an absolute feast for the eyes. 12:34 - I genuinely couldn't notice the transition from Dante to Vergil on my first watch, holy moly. 14:24 and beyond is genuinely one of, if not the best ending I've seen for Dante/Vergil duel videos.
