I cut my hair at the beginning of the pandemic and I haven’t grown it back. I love that it’s lighter and not heavy on my neck. Also so much cooler. I can’t wait to see what it looks like if you are doing a big chop. Mine is now at my chin and I also have bangs now. My hair was down to my bum with no bangs. It’s fun changing it up bc it’s just hair. It grows back😉

I kinda did the opposite.. cut my hair at the beginning of the pandemic and accidentally gave myself a bowl cut so I've been growing it out since (with regular trims) and now it's mid length.. I want it to be shoulder length when curly so I'm almost at my goal

@@gothperson5562 yes. You can also look up curly hair styles with bangs if you want to keep your style you have but want an idea of what you may look like if you want to cut bangs

No matter what you do, it will be awesome ! AND….you can always grow it out again 👌🏼 Looking forward to seeing the new “do” 👍🏼👍🏼🤩🤩

I can’t wait to see your new haircut!! I always default to long hair, but now that I have learned so much more about caring for and styling my hair I’m so interested in a shorter haircut. I did cut in a curtain bang and added some layers and love having definition and volume around my face. I have only kept it long for this long bc I have an undercut which keeps me from getting so hot and cuts down on styling and drying time.

The curls are about to look SOOO GOOD short!! I can’t wait

@@leilamanchino the longest pieces are at my collarbone and then there are lots of layered pieces that are shorter. I found the cutest curly cut picture on Pinterest and took that in to my hairdresser and she matched it perfectly ☺️

I think shoulder length will be pretty on you. I went shorter than shoulder twice and I regretted it. Too difficult to manage. On a bad hair day I didn't have enough length to pull it up. Looking forward to seeing your new cut.

For what it's worth, i also had about waist-length 3A hair up until recently. Last weekend I cut it into a pixie cut. It is so liberating!! So much less time and effort spent styling so I can focus on other things in my life. I hope you end up loving it as much as I did:)

I'm living for your long hair :( Although i'm so excited to see how you style your short hair. I personally have thick hair and it is very curly like yours. Its been the hardest ever to grow out and its still at my shoulders with a lot of layers. I feel like some people are better off with the longer curly hair and some with the shorter depending on texture and such lol. My type can't be short its just too big for my face so I'm hoping to grow it out like yours one day.

When you say thin and thick are you referring to low and high density or width of individual hairs - which that is often referred to as fine or course (or medium in between)? Some curlies use thin and thick only when referring to density, others don't so I'm not sure how you were using those terms.

hi !!! I have had years of damage on my curls. Not heat damage but I treated it wrong. Dry brushed it, treated it like straight hair which made my curl pattern go from like 3a/3b to like 2b/2c which is quite a difference. I have been watching your channel and listening to all your feedback. Your channel has helped a lot with tips and stuff like that. Thank you!!

Your comment is basically me haha - no heat damage, just mechanical mistreatment 😅 Idk if this helps, but I did a protein (gelatine) mask on my hair and it's bouncing (lol) back. Gave my hair some strength back - maybe look it up. might be worth a try! 😊

Ok, nothing to do with this video, but... I need help... Im a male with curly hair, 3B. Is the first time Im growing it out, just to see how it looks like because I've always kept it short. Used products for straight hair because, first, my mom always told my I had straight but thick hair... and it was never long enough for curls to form. How am I supposed to style it... it curls just like hers, but I have it to the tip of my nose while streched. I don't know how should I manage it. Just comb up?, part it somewhere? I'm trying to find the best way but it ends ult looking weird by the way I part it.... Is there a guide, is it all to the front? help.

@@jaymejo Ok...I'm informing you because some salons charge extra to cut and style long hair so you/others might book that option and pay more than you need to. If they do consider it long they can charge the difference during your visit instead 😊

@@ninarai501 I'm not talking from personal opinion, Jayme's hair would be considered mid length at my salon and she would pay for a mid length cut. That might not be the same everywhere. I'd love to hear what other stylists think though!
