Stussy - J Dilla Documentary Prt 2 (of 3)
Музыка
Part two of a three part documentary focusing on J Dilla's life in Los Angeles.
On Saturday Febuary 13th, 2010 Stussy celebrated the life of brilliant hip hop producer and rapper James "J Dilla" Yancey, by releasing a limited edition tee shirt produced in conjunction with Stones Throw and the Dilla Estate. www.stussy.com for more details.

the idea of the doc was to show the last part of Dilla's musical career, specifically how moving to Los Angeles effected his music. Originally it was suppose to be a simple five minute piece, but once we started interviewing everyone it was clear it needed to be longer. this was never suppose to be a full on documentary on Dilla's life. there were a bunch of people, who I would've loved to interview, but they didn't respond to our interview requests.
thanks m8!!! looking frwd for part 3!!!
Nice! Can't wait for part 3
i love listening to ppl talking about dilla, thx for this doc. !
I have no complaints this was well filmed. Thank you for the info.

RIP DILLA. Thx Stüssy. It's nice that there is negative comments and/or flaming on almost all flicks on yt, but not here. that's the dilla vibe ;)

@sample208 this needs to be expanded into a full HBO special. Go interview everybody, show home videos, show the videos, show slum village, interview Keith Murray, Erick Sermon, Madskillz, Pharcyde etc.

Desk stick to Black Milk Deadly Medley read Chevrolette & Le Mans
@cheesewithcrackers Yea..they maybe should have stressed that it was only about his stones throw venture and mostly about his left leg of life..but that shouldn't dog it down.. and plus it'd be crazy to get a hold of people like common or tip for interviews etc.
coolsies
@cheesewithcrackers yeah i feel the same way because when ever you try to research his career it is 03 to to the present
i didnt know dilla used a korg electribe es x1 knew he used the mpc 3000 sp1200 akai s950 motif rack moog , korg triton and old records

It's branding! That Stussy log o never leaves the screen! Ever seen a real doc with a designer logo in corner through the whole thing! Some good info, but not a Doc by passionate documentary makers. Slanted.

One Person Seriously Disliked This Video? What The Fuck Bro. You Should Ask God For Your Soul Back My Dude.
while i respect the people that made these videos for making them, i kind of feel like they're a bit lazy in not really showing such a huge part of dilla's life, really the part that made him the renowned producer he is. like i'm a stones throw fanatic, but comeon you'd think dilla was only know for everything he did after 2003. why not talk to people like common, questlove, tip, show the huge part of his life as jay dee. so yea, i'd love to see a doc that really pays tribute to the mans career
God damn floods... same shit happened with RZA... SHIT
@DecadeNow09 hahaha
@sirduke16 nice eyes!
