the idea of the doc was to show the last part of Dilla's musical career, specifically how moving to Los Angeles effected his music. Originally it was suppose to be a simple five minute piece, but once we started interviewing everyone it was clear it needed to be longer. this was never suppose to be a full on documentary on Dilla's life. there were a bunch of people, who I would've loved to interview, but they didn't respond to our interview requests.

@cheesewithcrackers Yea..they maybe should have stressed that it was only about his stones throw venture and mostly about his left leg of life..but that shouldn't dog it down.. and plus it'd be crazy to get a hold of people like common or tip for interviews etc.

while i respect the people that made these videos for making them, i kind of feel like they're a bit lazy in not really showing such a huge part of dilla's life, really the part that made him the renowned producer he is. like i'm a stones throw fanatic, but comeon you'd think dilla was only know for everything he did after 2003. why not talk to people like common, questlove, tip, show the huge part of his life as jay dee. so yea, i'd love to see a doc that really pays tribute to the mans career
