You do realise Max pays tax for the work he does in the Netherlands (Zandvoort race) then pays tax in each of the countries he races in - Dutch tax office made a statement about this last week, Google it. Regarding not paying tax, ask yourself if you have ever brought any cigarettes, alcohol or anything else through Duty free? “People in glass houses” as the saying goes.

There are a couple of flaws with this video. The footage of the Aston Martin car isn’t the Valkyrie, its another model, thats a bit misleading. Tag is a major sponsor and is likely paying Max to wear the watch. I dont see why this was included as he probably didn’t spend a penny on it, probably the opposite in fact. And the personal jet is a no brainer as its a business expense. A celebrity like Max cant fly commercial. I dont have the facts to back up the numbers but I would assume to that part of his jet’s operating expenses are covered by the team or written off as business expenses. He also got it for a good price and can probably resell it for what he paid. And im not sure about the part about him wanting to travel light on race weekends so he can focus, he literally travels with his playstation so he can play FIFA.

Nothing is "stupidly" expensive if your worth $300+ million and have an annual income of $30+ million. I'm a little surprised Verstappen doesn't own a yacht, especially since, living in Monaco, he gets to see so many from his apartment every day. But forget the pricey toys, does Verstappen sponsor any charities? Has he formed a charitable foundation? Does he have any pet causes? Even the nicest toys get boring after a while.

Its all a business. It’s seems like most of the toys are given by sponsor’s. And the jet might seem like a toy but it’s might also be a “reasonable” investment looking at the F1 agenda. I think he never really flies alone and always has some other drivers or team members joining him on the flights. I don’t know if that is just for free, to keep relationships warm but he definitely creates something by inviting others on the flights.

@@elisabethformulabiased donations are tax write off, any financial advisor would encourage anyone whose sitting over millions of dollars to do so. and his supercars are also tax deductible in some countries used as marketing or business entity many loop holes your financial advisor/accountant use... but other than the private jet which is a large expense as one cant avoid thanks to maintenance, pilots, fuel, hanger storage, contributor to carbon tax etc etc. Chairty donations arent always about charity, just a reminder when you see millionaires doing this.

That about the Tag watch is a very very stupid part. It’s not expensive at all. Tag don’t make watches that expensive as the figures you are talking about here. That special edition is a very affordable watch and many of us have it. Max is a collector somewhat and he has some other very to moderately expensive ones like the Rolex platinum ones etc. So this watch doesn’t belong in the video at all. That’s work without research.

other than the personal jet, everything else is a commodity yes even his aston martin. if Max had to sell it he would be able to ask the same asking fee just due to the notoriety of the vehicle belonging to him. stupid money indeed but money thats invested that will generate him wealth or hold 1:1 value not including inflation and taxation bps of course.

Well he earns that money and if I was an insanely good race car driver (currently the best in the world) and I had millions of dollars, I'd definitely live in luxury so long as I could. Doing what he does, he could die any day. I pray that he doesn't, but there's a different meaning to carpe diem when you are essentially a test pilot.
