Not sure if already done, can you enlighten us on tracking whilst doing dmg mechanics, i could never really get how much armour protection the tracks provdide and sometimes uncertain where to shoot a tank to track and still do dmg including the enemy's side armour, now don't get me wrong i can successfuly track and do dmg shooting at the cog wheel etc (and i understand tracks act as spaced armour for HESH), but sometimes i figure i was also just lucky. Many times ur at an angle that u can only track an enemy and not do dmg usually head-on but maybe at slight angle would their be a way to shoot the track pad and in to the enemy's side hull? Is there a way of being more efficient or smarter for always tracking dmg an enemy(not HE), while trying to get the best high roll possible, cog vs track pad etc?

@@HonestGamingLife you probably wont see this buy speaking of pz VII (tier X garbage no-one plays) you forgot to point out a hole around the gun. its 120ish mm thick and if you wait until he aims and stops moving you can pen it with everything including HESH.

Fun fact : the VK 72.01K looks exactly like the Pz VII, except that this huge weakpoint is non-existant on that one

@@guillem8913 Wrong. That "weak" lower plate has 270-300mm of effective armor on the lower plate. Which is one of the strongest lower plates in the game. Which is actually THE SAME! If not a little bit STRONGER than the 260-290mm of effective the Pz 7 has on is lower plate. Do your research man.

@@santenz8460 Wargaming loves making their players think that. The "weakpoint" on the VKK is has way more armor than the Panzer 7. They love making their bond vehicles, clan wars vehicles and campaign vehicles overpowered, even if the base stats don't say the same.

I've been playing tanks for a while and noticed some 'weakspots' aswell, so here are some; Conqueror, just penn its gun mantlet, it works sometimes on the super variant aswell. Badger and T32 (for example), you can bounce the underside of the gunmantlet, so the shots bounce into the hull. A lot of heavy E-series from the Germans (E75 and E50 for example), the side armor above the track goes downwards towards the backside of the tank, this armor above the tracks is overmatchable by 122, What I mean is, if you see the side of an e75 sidescraping, you have a decent change to penn it if you aim towards this plate, by aiming just under when it angles away. (It's like a tank that goes over a ridge, and you shoot it tracks and also dmg him at the same time eventhough he is head-on to you.

If you go over the angled side armor of an e50 or e75 with an 122 gun you will eventually find a spot when the penn marker is green

279 has like a real smal pseudo lower plate, which is pennable by 300+ penn I think, which is shown when a 279 wedges his tank up a slope, I killed quite a few 279s this way :I

There is actually a pixel spot on the 705A when it sidescrapes. Its right between the turret and the hull of the tank (the small gap you see when its sidescraping) thats penetrable. Hard to hit but it works :) like so more people know!

^ This. And the Further BELOW the 705a you are the easier it gets to hit. Right out on the edge of the turret and in once case I was below and offset of the 705a, so I don't think its the ring, its like you are going up though the floor of the turret that is outside the ring.

The IS7 has other 2 weak spots on the turret, the immediate turret cheeks. both of them can be penetrated reliably by 320+ Pen. Any 330 heat or 326 from sconq can go through it like butter. The 277 has a better turret imo now

Thia video is going to ruin me. I thought for sure i was the only person that knew about the E75 Ts spot. And FYI, there is a spot just above and to the right of the mantlet on the IS-7. Its a little knob that is slightly flatter, slightly harder to hit, but will pen every time

@@mn73211 on the churchill's right above the top of the tracks you can pen; it's a long skinny weakspot that isn't too hard to hit; imgur.com/a/iKgQRKN this image shows where it is in the church VII; the red circle part is roughly where it is along the majority of the side of the tank. the second image has a more in depth description using the armour thickness view to more easily see why it works. it's a bad weakspot for a bad set of tanks; rather crippling to play a churchill against someone who knows about it.

I would actually say that the M103's turret roof in in an even worse condition than the Tiger 2's. Not only does it have a larger cupola and a weak strip of armor directly above the gun, but the roof itself is even thinner than the Tiger's, meaning any tank with a gun larger than 114.3mm (basically every tier 9+ heavy and many tier 8 or even tier 7 tanks) can overmatch it no problem. Not to mention the fact that The M103's turret is massive, so it's really hard to miss the roof.

Actually you can pen the Maus' gun mantlet with HEAT because it literally has 0mm armor behind the gun mantlet

Fun fact. I looked this up and the Tiger II has seemed to be buffed to 50mm. Still doesn't mean that you can't overmatch it with a SU-152 or a ISU-152 etc

The Tiger 2 roof has since been changed, you now need a 152mm gun to pen it.

The PZVII could make the entire video on it's own.

@@HonestGamingLife yup, and this sad tank is one and only T10 tank. Though I aimed for Maus before but got unlucky and replaced by this Tank. At first, I thought it would be good Side Scraper and good Brawl Tank because of that 240mm but WG played me. It sucks!

Fun Fact #2 about the Pz. VII, there is also a massive hole in its turret directly behind the gun mantlet that almost any tank, excluding arty and lights, it faces can punch through without using gold ammo. Fun fact #3, it was implemented into the game to make the line it comes from, the Vk45.02B make more sense from a gameplay perspective, yet the tier 9 is better at doing it's job, and the Maus, the tank that was moved to a different line, also side scrapes better than it. While the Tier 10 reward tank that looks almost exaxtly the same, that 72.01K, has none of these weakspots.

Around / under the gun on the 60TP is an easy pen to. If they fully raise the gun, the mantlet is 100mm and sometimes players raise it fully to hide the commanders hatch. With heat and high pen apcr the area is penetrable. I did not know the IS-7 had that weak spot, I am going to enjoy it now.

Another fun vehicle for future lists, the VK 100.01P. The cupola is another one of those fake weak spots, and if you are in a lower tier tank, you can just bend right over and yell, "thank you sir, may I have another!" Another good example of WTF moments are the cupolas on the Super Pershing and the Somua SM. Two cupolas on the visual model, and only one of them is actually a hit box. Because y'know, wargaming being a small, cash starved indie company... oh, wait.

I have another fact for you. The standard radio operators base skill only affects the radio range. So you can use only one radio operator per nation in every tank without retraining them. All their skills should work. The only downside is the reduced radio range.

Btw overmatch doesn't completely works in the past couple of years. Yes I've seen some ridiculousness happen all the time -- like ricochets on Scorpion (TD tier 7) that has 1 armor or Skorpion G also easily and constantly ricocheting T92 (tier 8 LT) that it has overmatch on the whole fricking tank. Game of Not Properly Working Mechanics this game should be called.

On the Panzer 7: Take a look at the gun mantlet. See the part with 200mm? That's not a glitch. It's a weakspot. Can't go hull down, can't sidescrape. Yay.

FYI just about every tank has a weak spot at the upper part of the front tracks. If you manage to fling a shot in there you will probably pen and some tanks can even overmatch those spots. It's broken as all hell, but if you're wondering how you got both damaged and tracked frontally at times, that's why.

you forgot how the VK 72.01 Krupp basically a Panzer VII with the E100's 15cm gun doesnt have that side weakspot that the Panzer VII has

you can pen the Maus mantlet with Heat because it has no armor behind it. Same with tanks like the T30, T34, T32, T29, E4.. etc even the E3 mantlet can be buttered by Heat given it has 330-340ish pen if you want a reliable penetration or 310ish if you want a risky pen that's right next to the gun.

Absolutely the most useful WoT video I've seen in ages! Keep it up mate!

there are several spots on the very bottom of the IS7 turret that are around 250ish you can pen while face-hugging. you can also hit the engine deck if the is7 is angled right and you are in a tall enough tank

This channel is so underrated

the gap below the is7 gun is also on the 705a which also has a little gap between it's turret and hull that you can hit while it's sidescraping

the more i watch stuff like this. the more im surprised anyone even plays this game. Its clear the game designers absolutely hate or don't care about the player base at all.

My favourite weak spot is the arse plate of the T-54 ltw. It has the thickness of the Tesco brand tinfoil, yet it has been able to ricochet shells from my Jägdtiger flat on during the same game. Twice. WG: "There's no Russian bias here comrade, now give me your credit card details."

This video has made playing the Maus a lot more confusing. Face this guy straight on, but this one I need to angle, oh just a bit more, a bit less, now face this guy again... My brain just imploded.

If you're facing an Obj. 277, and you have enough pen/angle, aim to the left or right of center on the upper plate. There's ammo racks on either side of the driver :P From the side, about the 2nd top roller back. I detonated the rack on one in my T110E3 a couple of days ago with standard AP. It was fun. Not really a "weak" spot, per se... but useful info.

Yes ears on the E75 TS , just like what used to be on the E-100.

Steve, at @4:46 you mention the overmatch mechanics and the result is automatic penetration. In Wargamings "World of Tanks PC - Explaining Mechanics - Armor Penetration" video, it indicates that an overmatch results in no ricochet regardless of angle. Are there any situations where an overmatch occurs without penetration e.g. due an extreme angle of 89 degrees? If so, would it happen so rarely that an overmatch and auto-pen could be considered the same thing?

You could shoot the lower cheecks of the maus when the tank is in angle using HE. Due to the engine compartment near the turret

Again with the 705a. The weak spot is right above the top of the tracks, and underneath the heat armor shielding

You know those two rear turreted tanks that main feature being that they should be able to side scrape better than others? Here’s a weak spot that makes that fucking irrelevant.

I've been playing this game for over 6 years and I hold 4.5k dpg in my Chieftain but I never knew about this IS-7 weakspot. Partly because most tanks have the gun depression to auto pen IS-7 hull anyway btw lol.

The VK 72.02 (K) imo is pretty balances as hugging and bing hull down facing forward is extremely powerful

Tiger 1 and 1p also have a stupid overmatchable roof on the tureet, it can even be overmatched by the russian 85mm guns, i cannot count how many times i have exploited that and punished hulldown tiger 1s by just shooting there....

@@HonestGamingLife yeah and the best thing is, though that turret roof might look hard to hit (while looking at tiger 1 frontally on flat ground) 75mm+ shells at tier 6 and 7 have a nice curved shell trajectory becouse of their rather low shell velocity, so from the view of the shells impact angle, the weakspot is actually huge!
