Cory Yuen is easily one of my favorite Fight Choreographers. Granted alot of the Hong Kong action guys are really good with Choreography. Donnie Yen does alot of the choreography on his movies if I recall.

@@ahmedamine24 On _Yamakasi_ Patrick Cauderlier was the stunt coordinator (he also did _The Crimson Rivers, Belphégor, Amélie, Bluebery, Asterix 3 & 4_ etc), but I'm sure the yamakasis themselves had plenty of input on the parkour scenes. Cyril Raffaelli was the fight choreographer on the two _District 13_ films, in addition to being co-lead. Frédéric Vallet ( _Crimson Rivers 2, Witnesses, Versailles_ etc) was stunt coordinator on the first one and Cauderlier on the second, with again, I'm sure, plenty of input from David Belle. For _Brick Mansions_ the stunt coordinator was Alexandre Cadieux (who did the _Assassin's Creed Origins_ and _Far Cry New Dawn_ video games' stunts).

When I was in film school both our cinematography and stunt courses stressed the 180 degree rule so often and they did what was said here, if you HAVE to cross the line, insert a transitional scene that explains the jump and would even express (in cinematography) storyboarding them out, whether it was a fight scene or even dialogue scene...

6:53 Aw, that's so sweet of her to say. After this, he continues practising too, and even though he's still a bit stiff by the John Wick films you can see so much improvement over the rigid upper body he's got in the Matrix.

Re-watching this, Amy is awesome, and she does Silat? Amazing. And Clint is a sweetheart, and with Nico, if this was without covid, if would have felt like a hug. I think I've watched Amy's parking garage scene like 10 times.

Absolutely living for Jimmy throwing out a "Love you guys", and Clint immediately giving a "Love you" back without a second thought. Real shit.

If Hot Ones was able to get Gordon Ramsey, Jackie Chan will be on Stuntmen React. There is no spoon.

After seeing most of Corridor Crew's stunt reacts and them actually learning some stunts, I can't stop noticing the basic stunt falls in movies and shows 😂😳 can't wait to see Niko one day as a stunt double 😂

Two things: you should totally review the mask of zorro and also do a stunt episode with horses. (about horses or actually have horses either or is good)

That Matrix dojo scene is made even more badass when you realize that Keanu had just been in an accident and had a neck brace at this time. He took it off for filming. They reduced the number of kicks to avoid him hurting himself.

I suspect in the spiderman scene that the tray has a metal backing and the items have powerful magnets in them. That would explain the sudden stickiness and why the jello bowl suddenly snaps left and stops.

I've seen all the matrix movies like a hundred times and never noticed keeanu grabin the wires when he back flips

I had the pleasure of meeting Jackie Chan on the set of The Tuxedo. This particular scene was filmed in a University sports arena in Bangkok, Thailand. I'd previously worked on the VFX on a film with the property master of the Tuxedo so managed to gain access to the set. We stood to the side while Jackie set up the shot. Little did we know, we were standing in front of the lighting so my childhood hero's first words to me were. "Hey, you! Go away! Go away!" lol We then had to hide behind a large desk while they filmed the shot (which made it to the final cut) and eventually got to meet him. I had a great suggestion for him that would be amazing to see - I was going to suggest that he made a film together with Jet Li (as he hadn't at the time). What did I actually say? "Hello, Jackie... ...you're my hero." (cringe) "Oh. thank you!" was his reply lol

10:30 watching this back, this fight must have been a big inspiration for Everything Everywhere All at Once

For anyone who didnt know. Keanu had just gotten Surgery on his neck and was even wearing one of them braces and was still training and doing these moves. He even hurt himself a few times doing them because of his healing injury. The guy is a total pro! Which might be why he was grabbing the wires also. Also in terms of why Fight scenes with jackie chan look so good and fluid its because American films tend to cut scenes as Clint said. But asain films tend to do the opposite and really show the actors doing the stunts and moves in one take. Jackie Chan has a video talking about it too.

Yeah, he had a neck fusion done and let me tell you, I had my back fused last year and it's no joke. That takes like a year to heal up and they keep telling you "Do NOT twist or bend! Don't do impact sports, don't kick or overexert yourself. Take it easy and heal up." And of course Keanu is like "I'm gonna learn Kung Fu and do a bunch of kicks!" The man is a beast.

I would love to see a breakdown of the office fight scene in season 3 of Daredevil. Recently rewatched season 3 and remembered how killer the fights are in that season.

Wait, Jimmy Wong's uncle is THE Corey Yuen?! Honestly it kind of adds to the slightly surreal vibe that Matrix had, it’s a similar flavor to the bullet time and slo-mo stuff. Neo is someone entering the system and breaking the rules, I kind of like the meta-idea there.

The 140 take thing was just a joke. It was closer to 7 or 8, everything was either magnetic or sticky I can't remember. The 140 joke came from the director commentary. When that shot came by he said "Aaaand, take 147..." So it was just a fun joke

I'd love a stuntmen react episode to include the origninal 90's teenage mutant ninja turtles movies - just saw a fight choreography rehersal video online and it looked amazing!

Jackie's so nice that even if he did know corridor called him,he'd decline cuz he doesn't want Niko to stop asking us to subscribe

How it ended, if it ended etc etc. It just got lost in the mix of crazy stuff of all of last year... It's kind of like with Tom Cruise. Love the guys work in so many ways. About the Toby Maguire cafeteria tray scene, I actually think it's not sticky stuff, but magnets. If you look at the bowl falling down on the milk carton, it moves very quick from landing on the right side of the carton to centered on it, and stops immediately. That's just how magnets work.

I’d love to see the hoverboard crash in “Back to the Future 2” where the stuntwoman crashes into the pillar. Also, the kitchen fight scene in “Spy” with Melissa McCarthy

I feel like Jackie Chan is the kind of cool laid back guy who would actually agree to come be on a youtube show if he heard about it and liked the idea.

When you were talking about jumping the line, that reminded me of a movie that I like, A Knight's Tale, but they were really bad about jumping the line during the joist scenes, which made them very visually confusing.

With the spiderman scene it looks like magnet work tbf

IGN already had Jackie Chan on their channel a few years ago, that video had already exploded to 20 million views. Easy views milking.

Two stunt suggestions! First, Bruce Willis's first kill in "Last Man Standing" at 11:45...stunt dude goes FLYING and it's so unclear how. Second, Chow Yun-Fat's slide at 53:00 under a Ford Explorer while shooting in "The Replacement Killers". Two little known gems with some fun stunt work and action.

For the love of god dude the season 1 episode 1 fight scene from Gangs of London or any action sequence from GoL the show deserves so much love!

The chemistry between Amy, Clint, and Niko is great. Always a joy to watch ya'll break down movie magic.

I know it’s probably because of a stockpile of footage they have with Clint, but I love the idea of Clint constantly coming back and they’re like “Clint, didn’t you want to leave to do stuff for your own channel?” And Clint is like “just because I’m not part of the crew, doesn’t mean I’m not apart of the crew!”

The spiderman scene is cut, you can see the last bowl with jello jump into place. The others are a lot more subtle but each item is caught then frozen into place.

Amy and Gui are the two stunt people I get legit excited to see in the intro. I like the others they work with, don't get me wrong, but whenever Amy or Gui are on I know we're in for something special.

@@Blackd0nuts Second time for me (I'm newish to the channel and still clicking on random suggestions from YT). But, yes, MORE AMY PLEASE. From what I've seen so far (the other video was where they looked at 'The Gate') she's awesomely capable, has great commentary to give, and seems like an all round lovely person to work with.

I don't know if it was mentioned before, but in the Jean Paul Belmondo movie "The Burglars (Le Casse)" there is an impressive stunt by Belmondo himself falling down a quarry.

For the next stuntmen react, you guys need to do scenes from Princesse Bride, more specifically the part when they roll down the giant hill to escape from prince Humperdinck.

Corridor should start a series teaching things like the 180° rule. I actually found that really interesting

There are some great film channels out there like Every Frame A Painting, Now You See It, Like Stories of Old, Lessons From the Screenplay, etc.! They all have incredible videos breaking down shots, angles, themes, cameras, scripts, and more. Some of the best channels on KZread IMO.

We need reactions to LOVE DEATH & ROBOTS. Everything there is incredible

for the spiderman gag, i'm putting my Quatloos on magnets in all the "food" items instead of some kind of sticky glue stuff...

In that matrix scene you can see the exact moment when Keanu realizes that he has found something he loves.

Corey Yuen was the action choreographer for X-Men (2000). I think he's the only one out of his fellow Peking Opera classmates (Jackie, Sammo, Biao, etc...) to have actually directed American movies. The first was No Retreat, No Surrender (1986) which had Jean-Claude Van Damme's 2nd credited role. His last directed film remains to be DOA: Dead or Alive (2006). But his best works as a filmmaker and/or choreographer are his numerous collaborations w/ Jet Li.
