My highest aspiration, as a watch lover, is to have a classic Omega. As the new ones are unaffordable, I will try to find something interesting among the vintage ones

I own the 1963 stainless steel version of this watch. It was my dad's. He gave it to me when I was 16 because I begged him for it. On my birthday. I have since spent thousands of dollars having it serviced. I'm 58 now so that's over a 42 year period. It's about $600 it started at $600 it's now up to $900 every 10 years or so. Completely disassembled and reassembled and lubricated where it needs to be oiled. I've recently taken up watchmaking as a hobby. I'm hoping in about eight years I will be competent enough to do it myself when it's next due for a service.
