Many tinies are intended to move at some point. And I’ve actually seen just as many with large decks, roofed and often equal to the house size.

Apart from their beautiful tiny home, I can't help but notice how they look at their partner whenever one of them is speaking. It shows how much they value each other's thoughts and opinions. It's refreshing to watch.

I love it! They've realized the importance of sharing life with their little boy while he's young! You really can't get that time back. I'm excited that they made that a priority. It is a beautiful homestead. Make the good Lord bless them and keep them!

They hot the nail on the head with choosing their priorities, Family and Time over the big house and chasing 'The Dream'... I wished deeply that I would of thought about this 30 years ago. Growing up I was shipped around like luggage between my parents who were divorced. Whenever my mother got a new man I was in a plane to my grandparents so for me I was so desperate to have the 'ideal home' for my children. What they're doing is truly the Dream.

Modular approach to building a home doesn't work in all climates, but in stunningly beautiful Queensland it's a fantastic approach! That deck is the best I've seen in a long time, and that includes the one I recently built myself. I halfway expected Mieke to have a Dutch accent 😊. Great home, great tour. Thanks!

this home is stunning - but that deck and outdoor living is a game changer!!

This home is just absolutely beautiful! Love it and I think the modular is such a good idea!! Even the air bnb home - love the decor - the hammock, the landscape... just gorgeous!!

I don't often complement tiny home designs because I feel the sacrifices are too great. However, I have to admit this one is so good I could actually see myself living there and being satisfied. I'd use the detached bonus room as my tv/media room and probably would have made it a tad larger. For me, the kitchen layout and interior stairs/walkway are what makes this floorplan work. You have safe, easy to traverse stairs and although you give up some width downstairs, I think it's a good trade off.

These people do not mess around with these tiny homes that they build. Really beautiful and amazing houses.

This is what you call one learning from mistakes... The couple have had so many tiny houses built over the years that this one turned out really good. ABSOLUTELY LOVED IT! 😍

I don't know how long, or popular it is, but I am really liking how some have moved away from the ladder system and went more with a walkway connected to stairs.

Love this home and farm! Really amplifies the kind of life that humans could have to be healthier physically, mentally, and spiritually! A great place to raise a family! Fair play!

Really love this tiny home the style is so beautiful and love those connecting lofts, I am older and stairs are not my favorite but I might could do this. I also really love that deck and those pull down blinds it would be great when it gets colder and rainy to still be able to go out and chill and eat and everything. Love the location and couldn’t help but notice the similarities between this tiny home and the one you filmed in NZ with the lady who designed and built her place. So many beautiful tiny homes, but this is the most beautiful tiny home I think I’ve ever seen.

The deck is beautiful, love it and the other tiny house for Air BnB is great idea and also beautiful. Lovely land and I like that they build it open space around all,that beautiful 32 acre land. I love the neutral colors, it brings such brightness to room and warm and cozy… the sink in her bathroom is a favorite I have never seen a stone one like that before ❤️❤️Great job Mieke and Tom. Airbnb 4 mo income is gr8. Being landlords is anything but passive. Get plenny cleaning & maintenance & marketing, bookkeeping, prep & booking guests, etc. An example was larger 🧺 room. Property management is not 4 da faint of heart. 😜

This is the best permanent, family and outdoor-oriented tiny house I've ever seen. If I ever have a few acres and am starting a family, I suspect I'll be taking a ton of inspiration from Tom and Mieke. I think my favorite part is the convertible deck and the "guest room" both being so well-integrated with the kitchen and bathroom. Even the way they grew into it, by buying one on wheels to ease into it and figure out what they liked and didnt like, is brilliant. Definitely saving this video to my playlist!

Totally for the rest of us to be jealous of. Incredible, especially that huge deck with the roll-down plastic things.

Divine home.. gorgeous aesthetic, flows seamlessly and looks deceptively spacious. Fabulous location and such a beautifully organised property. Not to mention such a chilled and incredibly attractive family. Just love this one. 🦋

Sooo perfect. Not too big, not too small. So neat, not cluttery, room for everything, no piles of exposed junk. Perfect. Very tasteful, too.

This is one of the best! Beautiful deck, home design, land and space, and then having another to AirBnB for income is icing on the cake! The only problem is that now I have a taste for an Espresso Martini with none of the ingredients at hand!

This is one of my favorite tiny homes I've seen! So beautiful.

The addition of the little 4x3 is a good idea - especially if you had space to add another if you needed. Spare room/bike storage /office etc one of the more convincing designs I’ve seen 👍

Everytime I think I've seen my favorite, another comes along and sweeps me away! This home is HOME! It's so cozy and what a wonderful place to raise a little one! I love all of the special touches like the archways and the concrete sink, the bathroom, and let's not forget that wonderful outdoor bathtub! Sweet perfection in my eyes!

This couple has nailed the outdoor space. Like many I can no longer tolerate hours in the sun. This outdoor space for reading, snoozing and dining is perfect. It sits on the land well, not taking away from the space but definitely solid and sits well. Love the bartender window and the pull down sheltering on the deck. They made great choices for the outdoor furniture. Looks so easy to take care of and comfortable.
