    Wow, cool! You forgot to mention the "Stempelmarken" or tax stamps on the passport. You used to have to buy them in Austria to put on official documents. They got rid of them in the mid-90s.

    Thanks for the extra background! I did notice it but decided not to butcher the pronunciation LOL. Also the stempelmarken on this passport is denominated in Kronen when Austria was already using Schilling at the time. Very interesting.

    @@PassportPlanet I was wrong. Stempelmarken were used all the way up to 2002 when the euro was introduced. I also noticed the "Goldkrone" currency and found it odd (and first assumed the passport must be much older than 1960), but was able to find some information about it. These are "Konsularstempelmarken" rather than ordinary Stempelmarken. They were used if your passport was issued by an Austrian consulate. They were in Goldkronen and you would pay for them in the currency of the respective country. Don't know why they didn't use Schilling - that's just how it was. That was a new one on me. Anyway, keep up the good work. This was an interesting video.

    I have an Austro-Hungarian Passport from 1918. The passport has two languages, first is German and the second is Slovenian.
