I build wind turbines all throughout the US and I must say I'm truly amazed by this! We us the Manitowoc 16000 and some RT cranes when erecting our towers. Awesome video!!! Blattner Energy FTW

They're all over the area I live but I've never seen how they went up until this. Amazing work, sir.

I bet the wives hear "but I'm getting it for the kids! I swear!" A lot.
That’s the fastest I’ve ever seen a wind turbine get commissioned and have grid power. 😂
Is there a way to know if the master builder of this incredible machine did any calculation regarding weight lifting, angles of work, etc? I'm just blown away by it. Such attention to detail....
KZread never ceases to amaze me with recommendations. I cant imagine the time and money these guys have invested in this hobby.

If you have never seen large scale rc planes, jets, and helicopters, check those out. Those things get into $50,000 ranges
I liked that and considering it needed outside help for rigging and unrigging would be no different than real life needing riggers to help with line so in that respect I think the model did better in many ways by balancing and fitting all the pieces without intervention. Great thought and foresight went into this model which was obviously scratch built. Great work!
At 12:49 you can see how big these models are. Simply amazing!
Wow! That has to be one of the coolest things I've ever seen! Incredible craftsmanship!
That crane is absolutely MASSIVE! I would love To see the time and effort put into that!, amazing!
This is awesome. I would love to see more info about and how this crane was made.. you make several videos of the finished models in use but what about the making of these brilliant models.. where do we go to see these being made? I am in Melbourne Australia and have scratch built model boats for over 20 years and would love to see how these models are made.
"Why are those giants watching us build the farm?" "They won't bother us if we don't bother them, keep working."
I just got back into the rc hobby and a fan of rc crawlers/trail rigs. I'm in the middle of building a 1/8 scale Land Rover D110 pickup and I just discovered this channel and man am I impressed. These are some very impressive rigs and makes me want 1 but the wife would kill me if I bring anymore project rc's home 😄

funny asFFFF.. untill i realised that, the rake is usually us in real life anyway. Riggers, doggers, fitters, metal workers engineers haha this was actually more efficient!

Lol so true
I feel like a kid in a candy store with only lint in my pockets.
Imagine if all this creative genius was actually put to work.
I work in wind energy industry and know how difficult it could have been to make these. The procedure of erecting the turbine is exactly same as original protocol follows.. Insanely awesome.. We are using 600 tonne crane to mount a nacelle of 75 tonne at 120mtr hub height.. Same is used to erect rotor of 113mtr diameter... Super awesome video
THE TALLEST RC EVER
Well done. That crane is huge
Immer wieder toll das Monsterteil zu sehen... DH und LG; Holger
can u show how they setup the crane and take it down again for transporting would be cool to see so just timelapse it then if its too long :-)
that's the kinda thing i wanted to play with as a kid a rc vehicle that could do work all by itself without any human help.
These are amazing! I can't image the amount of time that went into building these things. Bravo. I'd pay to see the making of that crane and windmill. Thank you for these wonderful videos.

Lol, I did that job. Was fun, ours were Siemens. Crane was a liebhere that took three days and a 100 ton crane just to put it together. Was second biggest in North America at the time. The nacelle lift was 59000kg’s. Loved everything liebere after working there. Cool machines
That actually looks like a fun thing to do in your free time, with all the setups and stuff.

must be a crane operator in real life. This is very awesome, if i had even came close to buying 1 RC like these i would be happy.

Yeah, this one is really amazing... :)
normally they assemble the blades at the top and not down at the ground but still a fascinating machine
Thank the gods for sending those giants to help the construction 🙏
Great fantastic model beautifully made and constructed
This is less like RC hobby and more akin to robotics. Really cool and kind of fun to see how some people emulate work as play
Obviously would have been nice if you gave us some details about the crane
Am I the only one who found this satisfying

That rake is not at the right scale! Epic :))
Crazy what amount of time it takes to build such crane !
They need to bring this to the states, I would love to get involved in this! It would make my diecast truck collecting hobby look like child's play lol

It's just sad that a crane like this needs to be built by hand over years, nothing like this is available ready to run.
Grown ups we become... but the child in us will allways be there!!! Boys will be boys😉
How much weight can that thing lift? Cool stuff
that is truly EPIC :)
Великолепное видео! А мне нравится Советская модель башенного крана БК-1000!!! Наш Советский Гигант!
I have worked along side of the real full size Blue Tower crane.... in the 90's it was the biggest tracked mobile crane in the country (UK)
That is a nice RC show the crane is cool nice video thanks
It's the happiest place in the world!
Unfathomably wonderful! I love to see precision in action. I would enjoy knowing where the plans were located, what were the materials used etc. Bravo to all involved. Thank you for sharing your creation.

Nice to see the "Rake of God" helping out! Fan bleedin tastic model btw.
Simplesmente Fantástico.Parabens.
I really do not understand the negative comments on here?? This is clearly an amazing build. 👍👏👏
Man I bet that took a lot of work. They have been building wind towers near where I live for about the 6 months. Every night sections of wind towers go up the road on trucks.
Cool Video:) Crane operator calls to ground team ( We have a Big Problem can't get cables off Better Call Rakeman he just put Godzilla in his place so he is available! 😀

I read that so often... So sorry that you do not have that RC scene.
As far as I know, the first guy to build a working model Lampson Transilift was Gerald "Bud" Kahn from Mt. Vernon, WA. He started back in 1982, soon after the first real Transilifts had set the reactor vessels at WPPSS nuclear plants then under construction. He used to advertise and sell blueprints. He bought many materials at Boeing Surplus. He was my foreman in the receiving warehouses at the Snelson-Anvil Corp. Modular Fabrication Site in Anacortes, WA, where we built huge modules for ARCO Alaska Kuparuk Project. We oftentimes had several Lampson Manitowoc cranes working there.
I wish they could put a wrecking ball.. I wanna see the action from it.. AWESOOOOOMEEEE
Wow! Just wow!
I would like to have one of the trucks. I would ue it to haul crates of water from the garage to the house. Amazing machines and God video. Thank you.
Incredible!
Damn that’s so god damn cool
Wahnsinns Modelle und ein tolles Video. ✌️🚀
Very impressive. It's difficult enough to erect the same model except in 1/18th scale. Has to sit center room on a display table so the top of the mast doesn't hit the ceiling.
It would be very interesting to know some spec of that crane like how much it weight , how high it is , how much counter weight witch kind of wire you use , what is the working radius , what is the weight of the big hook That is a lot of question but they are very intriguing for me really like that machine and all the work that imply !
I'm betting that there's quite a few turbine installers around the world who wish they had a giant rake!
