Steve, what great finds! I am very envious as found absolutely nothing on Sunday! Good to see you and the others. I really would love to find a snake buckle and a crotal bell. Plus many other things of course! I really need to get out on my permission again soon. Hopefully the weekend 😌 🙏

Top job Steve, hope you had a good weekend, looks like you did. Great finds. I wish I was a bit closer to Norfolk, looks like the place to be I spent 4 windy hours in a field outside of Hayle Cornwall to come home with a lead pot mend, a brass tube and a lad of red bull cans! Happy days.

Great to see you over the weekend in Norfolk. We think the part hammered coin you showed could be a Soldino but still looking into it. Had a Silver Denaria from the field on Sunday and another fibula also my first Beehive Thimble. 👍💖 Just found out that the strange piece of coin i found turned out to be a Bologna Grossone 1446-1506

Nokta Simplex is a great machine for a beginner. Google NCMD metal detecting insurance it’s only £8 per year. You need permission from the landowner or you can go on group digs in your area.

Nowt rong with a spliff i hate the stuff now but enjoy lads ..

like always when I see something like 3:45 I have to insist that it's *anglo* 😂 during the very early 6th AD Norfolk was solid *anglo* 💪 sadly not totally complete btw ....3 hunts ago I found a foot of a M. type 1 cruciform, here in southern Northfrisia .... always bothers me when only parts are found; especially when it's the theoretically larger part that stays lost ! *whre de **3:45** fo mi foot ?* guess cast brittle brooches simply aren't made for surviving in frequently moved soil and did any of you ever found a truly bent one ?

@@AngloCelticMetalDetecting last year I had 2 pretty much complete ones (type 2s and rather tiny) and idk 7 or 8 pieces .....which is kinda the normal ratio for them... epic finds galore that came (before &) after the brooch ! always astonishing to see what comes around when the people are out in force on good land 👍 seems y'all had some great time there in one form or another 👌 cheers ! P.S. this 10th cent viking ring is so prevalent in the former Danelaw, that I think the proper term to describe it would be; a *anglo* scandinavian ring 😁
