glassy bead thing looks like what was called a cats eye. they used to be in rubber mounts in the middle of the road would shine very bright with reflection from headlights.

I identified the RAOC but you already know and the Cats Eye. Thanks for taking us along guys. 👍👍
Still some goodies John. You guys sounded like you were having a good time of it!!! Super fun video! 👍👍👍
People in the days of the cartwheel penny must have felt both weighed down and rich at the same time
Sooo great 💥💥 love the Lumberjack “ Monty Python” singing 🤣 Brilliant 👍 cheers from Mississippi 🇬🇧🇺🇸
Great finds as usual, your all seeing eye is a reflective cats eye from a road - I found some broken ones on a walk along a road once.
Right off the jump, I prefer hearing the signal this way…you do what you like though!
Why do they call it a cartwheel penny? Love the “bendy thumb”! Cracks me up every time! 🤣😂

My dad always said that, “a bad workman blames his tools”. He’s been gone for thirty years, now. Thanks for bringing up that memory…🥰
Wonderful video as always, the thing with the glass in i think is a cats eye that is used in the roads to reflect light from the headlights of cars

@22:30 the hawk has ‘Plumed’ its prey before eating it. 👍👏👏 Congratulations on the new permission, but that also means you’ve got a lot of shyte to go through, to get to the treasures. 😉🥃🥃. Seems to be the same up there as it is downunda, that it’s hard to get good help these days.😏🤣🤣🤣
Great video, I love finding cartwheels! 😁
What a fun video and poor Marty, I felt his pressure with you giving him a hard time and knowing nearly 20k people will watch him dig a hole! 😂😂 Also had a picture in my head from your commentary of people sat in a field eating strawberries, while drinking whiskey and energy drinks!

Many thanks Budro. Lots of junk but better days ahead!
From your first visit here, that hill thing struck me as looking very round barrowish, and then you mention Bronze Age local references which made me even more curious. By the way, the Royal Artillery badge, (the one with the field gun) is actually an officer's pouch badge (too big for a cap).
Spade boy Doug 👍 Nice to see you lot having the craic. I've learnt more history off your channel than O level at school! 🤣 20K giveaway next?
Totally agree definitely a cat's eyes from the old rubber center road markings.
The small glass piece you found ( eye of saron) is an old reflector that would of been in the middle of the road, it would of been mounted in a rubber housing and mounted in the road between the white lines,

At 20.10 thats called a cats eye. Used to be used on the roads to guide cars on the roadway before we had lane painting. They would light up in headlamps and guide lanes.

Ahhhh, damn. Oh well. How on earth did that get there?!?
Just thinking, check your Cartwheel pennies as sometimes they came in two halves and they would put silver or gold coins inside. The giveaway is the seam around the edge of the coin, you never know. You remind me of Gary Dreyton on Oak Island, getting someone to dig for you lol, what a couple of helpful fellows, hope you bought Martin and Albert a beer for being the dig masters for the day. Nice haul. All the best to you and the guys. HH
Just got myself some ear buds. Wow! Seems like I’m right there with you. Just a note, corps is pronounced “Kor”. The “p” and the “s” are silent. Loved this video. Great fun guys!

22:00 loks like a budgies bell or maybe a bell from a horse's harness. I can remember the cats eyes still in use in the seventies possibly later than that.
Glass bead , I think it’s a Cats eye , usually in the middle of the road? I found two in a field in South Wales identical to that , brilliant channel 👍
The mini-Sauron item looks a lot like the reflective buttons on highway signs from the mid 50’s to the mid 70s here in the US. The buttons were placed in the lines of letters/numbers which were painted in reflective paint. It may not translate to Scotland however.

Yep that's a cats eye road marker, heard they were invented by chap who was saved from driving off a cliff in the dark when his headlights reflected off a cats eyes
