Looks as if Kramnik had that one in the bag but he left his king a bit drafty and less defended and made one move wrong by blocking with knight instead of bishop. But taking that knight with rook at the end was just a huge blunder because I think he could have gotten out of that checkmate somehow, yes? Then with that queen... it'd be over.

Not a draw if Kramnik had drifted his King into the centre after a series of knight checks then sac the queen for two knights? Not using his King to attack was an error of principle at the end. Surprising given the genius tactical moves he played earlier on.

Seconds on the clock vs a higher rated opponent and needing to calculate a knight near the rim jumping back and allowing an immediate queen promotion. On top of that it wasn't even a forced checkmate being threatened. Under those circumstances, the position was far from obvious.

It's not that incredible for playing strong and making stupid accusations. His well-being in chess (being one of the only 14 players with peak rating > 2800) suggested that he likely invested most of his time in chess, we cannot assume that he did as well in Maths. Also, statistics is an aspect in which the results are often counter-intuitive,, so it really makes sense that he make a lot of silly accusation
