This is my favorite generation. I think this was the first year of the new front and rear end, which presented so much cleaner ( to me) than the 90-94's. My grandad always bought a new Lincoln every 3 years, and his 96 Signature was my favorite of the all. White with white leather. God I love this car..

This so damn beautiful it doesn’t make any sense, my dad a brownish 96 town car, It floated down every street it was on. If it wasn’t for tire wear, you would of thought it never touched the ground while driving. Congrats man

I had 1996 Town car white with gray leather interior I got rid of it at 72k miles spent most of its life in Florida non-smokers lol and the ashtrays were still broken the back this car is a nice ride The only thing I might add is you have to keep an eye on passenger side frame rail near where the air conditioning drains water it collects and can create a rust hole

That interior is beautiful. Way more upscale than even Lexus at the time.

This is probably my favorite generation of the Town Car too. I've always liked the balance of the boxy look with some curviness.

Too beautiful,would be hard for me to depart with that one but as u've said can't keep'em all!🤣

Some of the best cars ever made I have a 97 right now I've had two 96 and the 97 I have now and I had a 2001 you cannot go wrong with these cars the 4.6 motors in these cars are bulletproof the one I have now I drive it daily got out about 185,000 mi on it I love these cars you cannot go wrong probably better than some of the new stuff out there I had the money I would pay 20 25 k for this one right these cars will last you a lifetime.

Such a gorgeous car! I bought a 96 Cartier 1 owner with 91,000 miles, not quite as primo as this one. But, I love it. You and Papa Bear are the best. Always enjoy your videos and still hope to buy a fine car from you. You take such care with each and every car. No one out there like the two of you!

i had a black 97 with those wheels, i never see those wheels much i guess cuz they where only on 97s or 96s makes sense didint know that , i like this channel because i like these cars and dont have time for them but i get some of my fill here

Beautiful! I had a 97 Cartier and it had the makeup mirrors in the ceiling for the back seat riders. I'm surprised the 95 didn't have them.

My issue is lack of garage space with 3 vehicles there now: A showroom new 1984 Lt Pewter Datsun 300ZX Turbo w/7,000 orig miles, a 2013 Mustang Boss (lime green) w/7,500 orig miles & a burnt orange & black 2012 Kawasaki Z1000, all perfect brand-new condition. the high mileage shouldn't be a concern for such a low price. I drove mine over 500k with no problems they will never build them like that again.

I saw a feature in another video of a town car that shows the bottom of the grill is spring loaded and can be pushed in. I guess if you were to hit someone and the bumper moved back it wouldn't break the grill.

This might annoy some people but that pack of "entertainment" buttons together with that cassette-player is asking to be replaced with some sort of Android solution. Aren't there any? I can't get enough of the digital dash tho, I am obsessed with that thing. 😍 Overall that thing looks pristine, I would, if it was on my continent... 👍

Knoxville, a major shipping port, is located on the Tennessee River. Hense, the anchor.

Knoxville is surrounded by lakes and rivers so perhaps the anchor was due to that. There’s also The Town of Farragut (a Knoxville suburb) which was named after Admiral David Farragut which could be a reference for the anchor.

...have a '96 with close to 300K miles...my late wife bought it for 1K in 2006 (had been a gypsy cab in NYC)...prolly put close to 15K into it over the last 17 years...mebbe more...ugly, but runs like Hades....it's paid for - no monthly payments...in my early 70s - not gonna buy a new car...it'll do...a/c is like a freezer, which is seriously important here in So FL - replaced the compresssor twice...

The light color cars can get away without Additional chrome. Am I seeing things or are the sides a darker color??? From the stripe down looks a little darker???

Those seats are amazingly comfortable! Not even the new S-Class has as comfortable seats as these Town Cars. No new luxury car today to be honest rides as smooth and has as soft and plush cushy fat seats like those TC’s. All the new vehicles now have stiff, hard ass seats with barely any foam in the seat cushion and ride like you’re driving a brick down the road, they’re so uncomfortable especially on long drives. The 97’s for sure is the last great body style. The 98’s on up are bland and generic looking and completely lost its stately appearance.

‘95-‘97 were my favorite Town Rods. As far as the top goes, last year a Town Car should’ve been been available with a vinyl or carriage top is ‘89. Once they went to the more sleek body style, tops just didn’t look right. I apply the same logic to the ‘93 Cadillac Brougham. ‘92 was the last year a top looked in place. Obviously this is subjective, but I think a lot of old timers just had to have vinyl on the roof, even if it made the car look worse. You need a box to carry the top.

I need some advice on my 95 town car. My trunk motor takes irs time to operate. I had to drive before with my trunk up. It is closed now I was told they do not make the motor any more. I keep my trunk lock. I do not use it anymore.😢

1995 might be the best year. I like the 1993 I have, and wont sell it.. but the 1995, that should have been the first year with OBD-2. If not, then 1996 would have been. anyone know the year for sure?

i like the form of the instrument board, the 95-97 Lincoln Towncar has one of the nicest looking instrument boards of all cars. this one has a gross color outside and the wheels look odd on that car.
