If you want an appetizer to impress this holiday season, this is it right here! Stuffed chicken wings are incredibly delicious, beautiful and unique. It's one of those dishes that's going to be a topic of conversation at the Christmas or New Year party! The recipe takes a bit of time in deboning the wings, but once you get it, it'll go by faster than you think. And this dish can be made in advance in multiple ways, you can debone the wings in advance, make the filling in advance, or stuff the wings in advance and just bake when the time comes!

Did you turn the chicken wings, while it was in the oven? Or, did you just leave it in there and let it cook?

I love these. I’ve made these 6 or 7 times. Once you get good at the boning (which really doesn’t take that long), they are actually pretty easy. The best tip I can give for the deboning is to slide your fingertips along the bone you will be removing. The raw meat will come off easily. You’ll be left with all the points where tendons, connective tissue etc are holding you back. Now you can slice right through them, preferably with a good boning knife. You can stop at a few points so that you don;t have to do the whole project at once. My favorite is to go right to the end and stuff the wings, then freeze them. Then you can just pop them in the oven. Everyone is blown away by these, and they taste as good as they look. Pai had the seasonings balanced very well and you can follow the recipe to the letter. Thanks, these are awesome!!!
Yes. Stuffed wings have been done before in North America try googling 2 Fat 2 Fly. It's two young African American men who started a stuffed wing food truck in Columbia South Carolina in 2010. They have been featured on food shows and Oprah actually produced a reality show around their popular stuffed wings.
My boys hair dresser is thai and she once made this for them (I know who does that but she is incredibly sweet). They loved it, and this is the only other time I have seen this recipe so I know I'm at the hands of a good and authentic thai chef.
This is my favorite food! Very tedious especially since I keep the drum stick on but once you get used to deboning, it's not bad afterwards. I always debone the night before I stuff it. Very delicious!
I had these at a local Thai restaurant many times 25+ years ago, but they stopped making them due to the difficulty. But Palin is right, they are worth the effort! Due to circumstances beyond my control I have recently been forced to learn how to cook Thai food for myself. These stuffed wings are on my short list of things to try. Thank you so much for this wonderful channel!
thank you Pailin! I love these wings for years and never thought to search for the recipe. By the way, at all the restaurants that I have eaten these wings, they always serve them covered with sweet thick soy sauce on top, never with chilli sauce. They taste amazing!!!
Yes! I’ve been waiting for this a recipe ever since seeing it on your Instagram.
Pailin, I once ate at a Thai restaurant and they had this appetizer called Angel Wings. It was heaven. It's chicken wings stuffed with crab meat. It was so delicious!
สอนเข้าใจง่ายดีค่ะ so easy to understand. Thanks
Thank you! I've been waiting for this recipes for a long time.
These look awesome Pai, I'm going to make them for my wife's birthday tomorrow. I made your kua gling yesterday and she said it was great so thanks. Cheers and HNY from Thailand.
I grew up eating these but haven’t made them in a very long time. I never thought to debone only the wing part which looks so much easier. Can’t wait to make these soon. Thank you for this simple recipe!!

Omg!! I can NOT wait to make these this weekend. Thank you for sharing.. Update: I've made this twice and I'm so happy that I know how to debone a chicken wing 💃🏽🙌🏼
made it yesterday, we were very happy with the results. You do have to know your way around a knife to debone the wings. As good as any angel wings we've had.
WOW. I've never seen chicken prepared this way before in my life. It looks so amazing!

Me either. My first though when she was removing the bones was “burn the witch!”
Great idea, I use the same fillings for my spring rolls only difference is the mushrooms, I use wood ear mushrooms, will definitely try this.
The Thai place we’d go to in SoCal when I was a kid had these and they’re absolute heaven. They called them angel wings and were served with either sweet red chili sauce or something like duck or plum sauce. I haven’t been able to find them up in Tacoma where I live now. I miss them. One of my favorite Thai dishes.

Same!! They used to have them at a local place in pittsburgh pA-now they are nearly impossible to find-there is a place in Milwaukee and a place in Vegas…
Nothing is more satisfying than you taking a bite at the end. It always makes the food look so good.
This LOOKS AMAZING!
My favorite kind of wings! Love love stuffed wings but didnt know how to make it and nobody I know ever makes em! So thank you so much for this! Gonna make it all for myself for sure 😆
wow! another delicious food and i love to make to impress my employer! Thank you so much Pailin'sKitchen for this great idea! more power to you!!!
Thank you so much. These are my favorite. Hard to find them. I found them the other day and I was shocked they had them. Went back a few days later and they were out. Now I can make them. You totally made my day!!!
One of my fav dish. Love making this. Love seeing ur version. I’ll have to try w the mushroom. For those who don’t like mushrooms use cabbage. It’s very good.
It’s been so long! Missed you so much!
Finally! I now have my favorite childhood dish. Khap khun khap Pailin!
Always one of my favs this dish...though ALOT of work...BUT I’m amazed you make it look SO simple here I’m inspired to give this a go at home again...thanks Pailin! 👍😍😁
Yum! Used to have a Chinese variation in Stockton, Ca back in the 70's.
Been waiting for this after you posted about it previously
That looks soooo yummy! And pretty too!!!
Omg! These always make an appearance at family gatherings and I’ve always wanted to make them! Yaaasssssss
I first had this at the New Years festival at the market 👌🏽. I did know I needed these in my life. It’s the best 🎖
Oh my goodness. There is a restaurant in Wichita, KS called Thai Tradition that makes these. I absolutely love them, but live 2.5 hours away. You do not understand how excited I am that you posted this video.Thank you! I can't wait to make them.
Thank you for showing this technique and recipe. My wife and I made these some years back and they are A LOT of work. But super delicious, so it's well worth it as a showstopper that will impress your guests. I've never seen this in Thailand, only in American Thai restaurants. They're often called Angel Wings. Many restaurants don't have them on the menu simply because they require so much labor to make.
Very delicious recipe my friend keep up the good work l absolutely love your recipes 👍🙏🙏🙏
My grandma use to make this!! I miss her so much ! Thanks for showing me how !!!
I'll make these for Xmas. Your recipes are always awesome. 👍👍👍 never had a dud, so-so or a failed recipe from you. You also share trade secrets that other channels don't, that's why you're my fave.
Bean thread, my favorite noddle.
pretty certain i'm not the only one went from never thinking about stuffing chicken wings to having a mental list of about twenty different stuffing ideas to try out...all before the first minute of this video was done.

I used to love this growing up. I only saw it in a few Thai restaurants. Then when I moved to California, I saw it in a few Vietnamese restaurants, so I got curious and looked it up and it seems like many SE Asian countries stuff chicken wings with spring roll fillings, though Japan does it with gyoza filling(teba gyoza). Then it got me thinking of stuffing spring rolls and gyoza with other country's chicken stuffings. Then I learned how chunbing (Mandarin pancakes like for Peking duck) is a precursor to spring rolls, which made me think of stuffing wings with chunbing filling like moo shu pork(which I realize is an American way of serving it).
One of my favorite things to order when out for Thai food - but not easy to find. Now I can try them myself, and really pig out 😊

I agree, there's one Thai restaurant in my area that has this on their menu, and they always run out of it! The mystery of how they are "stuffed" has been solved, I just might try this for a party one of these days.

It looks like a great stuffed chicken wings recipe. Thanks for sharing.
A GREAT VIDEO, FINALLY A STUFFED WING WHICH IS ONLY THE WING PART AND NOT THE DRUMMET AS WELL. FOR DECADES I HAVE COOKED CHINESE FOOD AS I AM EURASIAN. LOVE READING OF THOSE BANQUETS FROM HUNDREDS OF YEARS AGO IN CHINA WHERE NOBLES GAVE HUGE PARTIES. ONE GAVE A MENU DESCRIPTION AND STUFFED WINGS WITH HAM AND BAMBOO SHOOTS. I YEARNED TO MAKE THEM AND THANKS TO YOU NOW I CAN!!
This is the first time to see stuffed chicken wings. Looks yummy. Well done Pai, you never disappoint.
When I make them I have always used the whole wing. I also steam them the a bit of flour the deep fried. Fiddly but great.
We have a restaurant here in Lincoln, NE which makes these. They are going out of business though, since the owner died. So I am very glad to have found this video!!!
Good video, nice recipes, thanks for sharing to us such an amazing creative idea channel and good content.
It’s very common dish in the Hmong Community. You’ll find this in some Hmong restaurants and in Hmong Village in MN. Thank you for sharing!

Hi Sis, you are great. This my Asian favorite food. Thank you so much!

Yum! Grew up on these and we run out faster than we can make them! Thai restaurants in the U.S. serves it as well, usually called heaven wings or angel wings. Going to try your version of the recipe for the holidays!
Thank you so much for showing how to deboned the chicken wings. I can't wait to gives it a try!
In the USA, this is commonly known as “Angel Wing” and very widely available at most Thai food restaurants.
Hi. New subscriber here😊 i love the way you prepare and cook stuffed chicken wings. God bless. Keep safe.thank you
There’s a restaurant in Downtown Edmonton, Alberta called Bua Thai and as I recall, they do serve a version of stuffed whole chicken wings. I think it was something of a pork stuffed chicken wing. I haven’t been there for ages! I might have to drop by soon and see if they’re still serving that dish. This recipe looks amazing though!
Khmer eat this too. Always for new year!
I’ve been to Thailand, but I never came across these beauties! I really need to make it (and also go back to Thailand).

Every dish that you make is so perfect keep it up pai
It looks delicious.
This looks so good and I would like to try the filling in a lumpia wrapper. Any other ideas for the filling?
My mother makes this, and I don't know how she can get her hands to do it at her age. I don't have her dexterity, and I know I'd rip the chicken apart. I've always wanted to make it myself, but I think my mom made it seem like it was more trouble for her to teach me, so I'm glad I have you to teach me. lol My mom did ship me an entire box of those noodles since getting Thai ingredients is hard for me where I am in Japan, and I agree, they are wonderful noodles.
Loved all your videos. Keep up the good work
That's my favorite! I just hate deboning LoL!
I’m so happy I found this recipe. Thank you. Thank you. I wish I could send a picture
I lived in Denver in the mid 90s and they had a Vietnamese place there that stuffed wings and served them with table salad to wrap them up and dip in Nuoc Cham. So good.
