Studying The Best Passer in the WORLD (Undersized Guard Breakdown)
Спорт
This year, DJ Cooper is averaging 11+ assists per game in potentially a top 3 domestic league in the WORLD, which is undeniably one of the craziest stats you'll see. Here's how he does it, as a small guard too 👀

He wouldn’t be able to do this. He should start with the G league first
his passing game is so excitingplayer to watch, so i just watched his last game against cholet. he made 10 asist by the end of the second half. such an incredible passer. thaks a lot coleman
love these types of videos! keep up the good work
This Guide is so helpful for 6ft Guard like me! Will you oneday make a guide for Short Arm/Wingspan Players? Im built more like a running back than a basketball player at 6ft height with 5 foot 10 wingspan and even though im stronger than almost all basketball players and pretty athletic when i was healthy but still have hard time playing against players whos arms are super long with like 7ft wingspan gg BTW your shane larkin breakdown was super helpful as his build is kinda similar to mine!

I just happen to see your comment and I have some advice. You can compensate for having a short wingspan by having faster lateral movement. That gives you not only more options offensively but makes you a threat to anyone defensively. The best way to achieve this is using the leg abduction machine at your gym. Just as 5 sets of 15 to you workout routine and within a few weeks you will be noticeably faster when you move laterally. Im 6 foot and I was a nightmare on defense because I learned this back in the day.

Facts!!! Super important
Just a pickup hooper here. I wish I can bring this back to my game but it seems like there are much less off-ball movements happening in pickup hoops now compared to even 5-6 years ago and there are never windows of opportunity besides drive and kick to shooters instead of making layup passes

You gotta engage your teammates. People will cut if they think they're getting the ball. I'm a strong proponent of never pulling up to shoot as a lead guard, even when it's a great shot, cuz your teammates switch off. Sometimes you gotta have one or two bad possessions overpassing early to set a tone for your team too, and once they realize they can cut and get layups it gets contagious. Set rip screens, throw early hit aheads, always run in semi transition even if you pull back out, just create opportunities for guys to be successful cutting and they'll figure it out pretty quickly.
Love this. Keep going !

Hey @ByAnyMeansBasketball, I’ve been working on my shot a lot but for whatever reason it is still not as good as people that work less than me. I don’t know what I should do could you make a video about shooting drills or suggest me some? practice normal shooting, I do form shooting with 2 hands and 1. Do you have also a workout or a device that trains your wrist strength?
Great video thank u
Old school game and PG. Belongs in the NBA. Reminds me a lot of my all time fav player; Andre Miller.

Could you make a guide how to use a really long wingspan to your advantage and how to deal with shorter but way stronger players (would love a really tall lanky guard breakdown)
@ry_an.
Ай бұрын
Make sure you can create space and get to a spot. Use the off arm and your elbows especially If you’re taller the shorter stockier player is trying to push you out of position. You need to dictate where you spot is since he’s gonna be low and unable to block it
Oh I just subscribed so fast
Blessings from Taiwan 🇹🇼 😇 🥰 LEARNING great passes from your video 👍👍👍 Too bad that he never make it to the NBA. 😭

The traditional pass first point guard is phased out.. even running plays for the SG as well.. you really have scoring point guard, a star big man or forward and other role players.. nba game know is about speed scoring not fluid plays necessarily.. more isolation basketball and 2 on 2 game
@devvv4616
Ай бұрын
its cos the scoring pg is just better. A pull up threat that can pass and playmake wreaks havoc. Steph, Brunson, Trae Young etc... Steve Nash was pretty much that except he leaned more into the passing
There's always an open window right above your defender's head. He can't get his hands up quick enough to stop a sharp pass.
Bro is nice! He makes most PGs and QBs look bad.

Sekou Doumbouya is leading the league in scoring and is his teammate.
The lost art of being the best player on the court with just passing. Jason Kidd-like. I’d also put up Milos Teodesic for one of the best passers as well.
