Since there is no POVs yet, i will write one! Though im a bit rusty, 'couse the last time i wrote a story was more than 1-2 YEAR ago (not to mention it was on my mother language, hungarian, and not in english, which i only learnd from video games and shows lol) so bare with me XD Disclaimer: This POV bit will be part of my bigger fanfic (or au, if it means ,,alternate universe") and if i mess up pronounses (or how du i spell it) please dont sh*t on me, my grammar is just dook dook, and im not trying to genderbent or anything like that. Anyway, enjoy it: Modern AU Its late at night at the dorm. Still, you studying for your exams under the warm, softly buzzing light of your desk lamp. Your desk is completly littered with books, notes, paperworks and notebooks, even your cup of coffee is just sitting on top of a notebook. Your head just swinging slowly down and back upwhile trying to stay awake. Even for just one more hour, just to finish studying. Outside is a really big thunder storm. Rain pouring down from the sky like its no tomorrow, ear-torturing thunders and lightnings lighting up the otherwise pitch-black night sky. ,,What the hell even is this mushroom, im sure i saw it somwere." *you exhale a big sigh, then a yawn* You are really tired, its almost 3 AM, so close yet so far from finishing. You just need this mushroom, the rest of it is just animals, that one will be easy for you. You wondering who could help you at this hour. Collei? Nah, sadly that would be so little help, not to mention she probably asleep. Hmm...Tighnari? Maybe. You were caught him once to being awake at this late. You turn up your phone, and see that he was online around half an hour ago. Almost begin to text him, but then you rememberd, he had an injury not long ago. You dont know what hapened, he just texted you that he will be away at the hospital due to an accident and that you dont have to worry. Since you two were in the same class, you were taking notes for him as well during this time, without him asking you to do it. You two were really close friends after all, it was the least you can do. Even though this resoulted of not being able to visit him, which is pretty funny, 'couse his room is next to yours. You two even had a little morse code thingy: when one of you wanted to sneak to the other, you two would knock a pattern on the wall, in case that the phone is for whatewer reason not close. At thint, you are so tired, you just put your phone and your head down. Thinking, it wont hurt if you snooze a little. Just a neeny-tiny break. Than you suddenly hear a muffled thump from outside. You were not so sure, but you could swear it was from Tighnari's room. ,,So he really is awake huh." *you thought* ,,He probably cant handle this loud thunder storm. And it doesnt seem to end soon." And just as you thinking about that, another loud thunder, than an even bigger lightning strikes near to the dorm. It was so loud, you coverd your ears out of fear and annyoyance. Honestly, you cant blame him for not tolerating this. A peaceful little rainstorm on a hot summer day/night is fine. But that thunderstorm...ugh, its just a nighmare. Then you hear your phones notification. Its Tighnari. So he IS awake indeed. ,,Hey, uh... can i go to you? This damn storm just finishd off my light... and i would also have some questions about your notes..." You read it, but dont understand, first of, how can JUST his light go off, and secund, he had a little wireless lamp, you knew becouse you saw it many times. This is a weak excuse, but you text back. ,,Hi, of course, come in, and... i also have some questions, if you have the energy for it." There is no reply, instead Tighnari is already knocking on your door softly, but loud enough for you to hear it. ,,Come in, its not locked!" You said, while already making a cup of tea for him. He then comes in with a book and a notebook in his hand, hes look like he has been tortured, well practicly he was. By the loud noises. Those big fluffy ears are a blessing and a curse at the same time. Also it looks like he tucked something in his ears, but he picked it out and tossed into his pocket, after all, with those in, he could not hear you. ,,One hell of a storm huh? I cant blame you for hateing it." You gesturing with your hand towards the bad while saying that. He just sit on the puffy-fluffy blanket of yours, eyes on the ground, not a word. Thats strange. Other times he would rant about the loudness and stuff. He put the books on his side, while you bring your chair next to the bed. With the books on it, there is no room for you. Tighnari look up from the ground to your face, for a secund he dont say anything. Trying to stay cool, but another loud crash of lightning breaks this invisible shield. His eyes widened for a moment and from the tip of his tail to te top of his ears he shivered. He hoped that you dont saw, but hes wrong. You look into his terror-filled eyes, now realising its more than the loud noises. Something was happened while he was back at home. ,,Nari, please tell me what happened. You were so secretive about this ,,accident" but clearly...this time its not the loudness, is it?" *you start with warm, calming, but the same time conserned voice* ,,Look, if you dont want to detail it, thats fine. But at least...tell me something about it. You cant fool me, we are friends for so long, and i saw that reaction from you to a simple lightning." Hes still hesitant for a little, but after some time, looking down to the piping hot tea, finaly starts. ,,Hehh...You really cant fooled that easily." *he sights, clearly somethings not right* ,,Remember that i was gone home for some more research? Well... On the day i planed to get back here... There was a sudden...lightning... Not a storm, just many...many lightning... I never in my life saw anything like this. One of them is...hit me..." *he rolls up his sweater, revealing the marks down on his arm* ,,Thankfully...its not fatal... And...i think you can...figure out the rest..." *and he stops* For minutes, that felt like hours, it was deadly silence. You are shocked, dont know what to say, how to react. Thoughts running throu your mind and feelings. So many of both of them. You feel sorry for him to experience this. Feel guilt becouse you are sure that if you A:tryed to stop him, or B: go with him, this would not hapened. But at least...you feel releaved that hes still alive somehow. You just stare to the mark from the corner of your eye quietly. Thinking. You hear Tighnari putting the cup down to the table next to the bed, but hes also qiet. ,,Sorry for...hiding the truth..." *he breaks the silence with his, still tired and secretly terrified, voice* ,,I didnt wanted you to worry. Even Collei was unaware of it...i told her after after i got better." *you lean closer towards him, scareing him with it* ,,Nari...when will you stop this ,big boy' act? You got struck by lightning and you just bare it like...,im a big boy, i can handle anything and everything', there are some people who cares about bou, you know?!" *you stop for a moment as your eyes tearing up, and your ckeeks turning a little pink-ish* ,,Ask me 2 questions. And be 10000000000% honest! What was that thumping sound before you texted me? And whats more important, are you REALLY feeling better, or just playing ,big boy'? He dont answer right away, you backing down in your seat, thinking maybe you intimidated him. ,,If we think about the same thing...while i was trying to get some sleep...ive got...scared of the lightning...and couse i was facing the wall...i think i kicked it accidently. And...i feel better now...aside from the tiredness...the wound itself is now fine. The doctor said that...as long as i dont overdo...i will be fine. And that will be...a pretty easy task..." *he says, and sound perfectly honest, so you nod to him* ***continuing in the replies***

Another loud lightning, he pulls his ears down, clearly he have some PTSD from the accident. You stand up and go to your scool bag, which is just lying on the floor next to your messy desk and start to search for something. After a bit of a search, you find it. An earmuff. You usualy wear it during winter, but since other than that, you dont have any ear-protecting thing. And...it will sure do the trick, at least it better than nothing. You than sit back on your seat. ,,You have any urgent task, or that part of your text was also just an excuse?" ,,No. At least not that i know of." *he says, confused of what do even meant* ,,Its sattled then. Study can wait, tomorrow i will tell the teacher that we will have a few day off. After all, this gonna be the first time, they cant tell that we are slackers." *you just stare at him with death serius eyes* You are not angry becouse of he lied, you are angry becouse of WHAT he lied about. The storm itself dosent seem to end soon, oh well. Its quiet in the room once again. Aside from the pouring rain and muffled thunders. He just trying to stay at least half-awake, as well as you. It is a good choice to take some time off, beside the stress that the akademiya puts on you and every other student, and the riecent incident, thers no way to stay focused tomorrow. ,,Look, if you want, you can stay." *you start, broking the silence* ,,After all, you said that your lamp had gone off due to the storm." *you wink at him, trying to lift the mood* He seems a little embarrased about that stupid lie. And maybe aslo becouse of the offer. You two are just friends after all, even though, for him its suprising. Other than Cyno, you are the only one who sees him as a friend, and not as a ,,genius senior" or a ,,teacher", no, just a good friend. A much more personal and - honest relationship. But sady both of you are like two deaf people, who are yelling at each other, but cant hear anything that the other says. That ,,anything" for you two were the feeling for one-another. The real ones, that were always just got sweapt under the rug, saying ,its impossible'. As the thoughts running throu his head, he just nods to the offer. As another lightning strikes close to the window, it lights up the room for a moment so much so, that its like it was daytime. You cover his ears out of reflex. Even you dont get it why you did it. You just blinking at each other with slightly red-ish cheeks. As you get your hand off of his ears, he slides back on the bed, against the wall, while you take his books from the bed to the desk, next to the now empty tea cup, then you lend the fluffy earmuff to him. ,,I know, its a bit...wierd, but thats all i got. And, at least it can muffle the noises of the storm." *you say, as he takes it* ,,Take the bed, i will sleep on the sofa." He gently grab your hand before you can go. ,,Wait...its your room, not mine." *he says in a low, kinda shy-like voice* ,,I uh...dont mind sharing...i think, we both...can fit here..." As he say it, butterflys starting to linger in your stomach. You dont even understand why, but you slowly slide beside him, as he wrap the blanket around you two. Facing him, you fix the earmuffs on his ears, but in the dark, accidently you tickle it with that motion, you feel it twich a little. ,,I-im sorry..." *you whisper* ,,I dont mind..." *he whispers back, already half asleep* At this point, hes like a big ball with fluffy ears and tail. You feel as his tail slightly waging around, you smile a little, known that he will be fine. .................................................................................................................................................................................. Here is the part 2 for the POV, and i COMPLETLY FORGET to add:this is female reader perspective 😥 it is long, but this is what i used to, couse i originaly write light novel, or comics. But anyway, here is the next part: The next day you made exactly 5 days off for you two, as you promised. The teacher was confused for sure, but he understanded it. After all, Tighnari is a top-student, and you are pretty close to that as well. But of course, not all of the 5 days will be spend to do nothing. You planed to let Tighnari recollect himself, then you two would catch up with the studies. Today is a very sunny day, its not too hot for a heatstroke luckily, but still, you have to change cloths when you got back. As you walking back, your mind starts wondering on the last nights events. You still have butterflies by just remembering to it. You never ever saw him like that. Terrified, extreme quiet, and whats more strange...a little...shy? Kinda. Oh well. You brush it off, thinking, probably it was due to that accident. That would shake anyone to the core. You thinking that it will be best if you leave the topic for the time being. If Tighnari bring it up, thats okey, but you wont. Suddenly you hear your phones notification. Its from him. Ah yes, now you remembered, you offered the idea of fetching some coffee and snack, than begin to study peacefully in the park. ,,Hi , how busy is the front yard?" ,,Oh hi, its not that busy, but i go in my room to change, so...how about you wait to my knock?" ,,Thats perfect, i will wait." He prabobly dont want to deal with the many questions of ,where you was?' ,can you please help me with...' etc. As you get back to your room, you notice a small note on the desk next to your bed, and some other changes that you yet not realised. The note says: ,Hey-hey, i just left my stuff on the desk. Fetchd them, and i think i found the mushoom you looked for. But i will check it one more time to be safe ;) Tn ' So that was Tighnari. ,,Aww, thats sweet." *you mumble to yourself* You see the mushroom, and yup, that was the one you had vague memories of. When you leaved the room, you left the key with him, since he was still knocked out from last night. You cant imagine how little he slept before coming at your room, if he even slept at all. But you trusted him, its not the first time, there was few situations, when he was at his room and you needed something from yours. He never took anything aside from what you asked. There was even a day, when same thing hapened. You forgot something, asked him to bring it down, and when you got back, your, now unusable, laptop was hid in your drawer, under the bed, covered with some paper for cover ups, but you knew that you were careless enough to leave it on your bed in plain sight. And besides you, he was the only one who got keys. Not that you expecting him, or anyone to do these kind of things. You just sometimes are disorganized. Your mind always jogging on 1000 things, from the studies to the personal stuggles and more and more. Aftey youre done changing, you knock on his door in the usual pattern you would on the wall. As he opens the door, youre get hit by the smell of the incense in the room. Just a whiff from it can drive anyone back to the sweet comfort of home. Also it seems like he also changed cloths, after all, last night was a bit colder. Still, on the arm with the marks on it, is covered with a headscarf, at least where the marks are located, but in a way that its not noticeable. His hair is tied up in a tiny pony-tail, becouse of the hot weather. ,,Well then, you packed everything?" *he says with a warm little smile, in a morning-like voice, which you always adored* ,,Yup, i have everything on me! If its okey with you, we can grab some snack and cold drink at the store. Its pretty empty at this hour, so we will be safe from the loud crowds." ,,Good idea. I will also bring some stuff... Just need some clearing in therms of your notes." As you two finishing in the store, both go straight in the park. There is a quiet, peaceful spot, perfect for study and rest. You both arrive at that spot, its a big tree, under it is a stone table with wooden corner-seats, the tree provides a cold, shadowy spot, a true paradise in that heat. You sit down, with your bag on your left, and Tighnari on your right. Both of you start to pack out, soon enough the stone table now full of academic papers, notebooks and books. You also got the strange mushroom with you. ,,I assume you saw my note?" *starts first, with teaching mode activated* ,,Aham, i was so sure that i saw this one before somewhere, but i dont know where. Its the only one i strugle with, the others are easy as pie. Its just...this one little guy." *refering to the mushroom* ,,Oh, hahaha, i think you got confused by it. You coldnt seen this one, just a similar one, becouse..." *aand the teaching mode really activates* Finaly, thats the Tighnari you knew. It was so hard to see him in that state last night. Now, you cant help but smile, tho' you feel that hes just purposefully guiding his own mind away from that. But you dont say a word about it, just let him finaly be free. ,,...not to mention the side effects, for an untrained eye, its a pretty, harmless little flower, but..." You write everything down first in a raw, unorganized way, for later to clear it up, and organize it. Thankfully, Tighnari know your methods. But your teachers often see it as a lazy mess. After around maybe 2-2,5 hour of writing, you two deside to take a break for a little snack, after all, its hard to focus with growling stomach.
