This semester I’ve been taking notes with the recall method! Basically you jot down something you think is important as a question and write down the answer on the next line. This way you have something like a study guide when you’re reviewing your notes later on!(I’m hoping this made sense lol) p.s. I’ve been loving your videos lately they’ve helped me keep motivated for school 💕💕🥰

When I take notes on reading I'll usually read and highlight important things that jump out at me, then I'll flip through after I'm done reading and jot down some highlighted phrases or maybe observations in my notes!

hey mikayla a study tip from my experience hehe, for like comprehensive texts i usually just write down the key phrases like i first take time to read the material and circle the important key words or highlight the most important phrases (usually its words) and then jot down those words (also include the bold words) and write down the explanation/definition in my own simpler words (just to make sure i understand the material) as notes cuz plainly note taking from the textbook gets rlly passive and tiring it sounds like work but as it becomes a habit u'll find it easier studying anything hope this helps

Okay. I'm going to university for quite some time now and my favourite method for note taking is writing all first in the pc, read it again and then write them down in paper. It's a lot, and maybe it's time consuming, but it's what works for me haha i love having the things in paper

Personally, I annote notes and texts given to me. My teachers taught me to read it once, just kinda skimming the text. Then, I read a second time, annotating to write thoughts and connections. After that, I look at the vocabulary that was mentioned and take notes on that. Finally, the only thing I take notes on from texts is things I didn't comprehend or remember. Hope that helped some!

best way I've found to take notes for me is to read the first and last page of the chapter, and from there write down the main goal the chapter is trying to get across. then, for each section I give myself 5 bullet points excluding dates if those are involved. if its a long chapter I do the same thing as above but for each section rather than the whole chapter. if the chapter doesn't separate by section I do 1 bullet per paragraph.

I have the same note taking method as you, I read through a paragraph or to and write down what I think is important. But for more detailed subjects (like history and bio) I usually end up writing as I go through because I sometimes forget stuff😅

To the note taking: i always read through the material, mark everything that seems important, brain dump everything on a blank sheet and add everything i forgot, then take these notes and create a „main note page“ (yk the paper i use to study with later), for a shorter version i read through the material (ofc lol) and then take shorter notes on a page, mark the things that are not easy to understand.. i dunno that helped me a lot

Q : how you work all day long on device without straining or effect on eyes?

My note 📝 tips are pretty easy so if i your writing something from your iPad or a gadget i highlight important parts with an app or by taking a screenshot then use the highlighter and if everything was important i. Memorise the easy parts so I don’t need to write them and if it’s not on a gadget but on a book i just take the book with me or if you are not allowed to maybe bc you have an exam i do the same thing write the important and leave the not important ones .i literally wrote a paragraph 😅

I just realised u write notes in a paragraph system which might make u a little stressed out in the exam time try taking notes in a more simplified form like a flow chart and point system i am a med student and every day we have to write notes so the method that works best for me is the flow chart method since it's easier to study

A good note taking method is just writing down the keywords which give u the whole summary of that sentence. example- A person named aaron was born in 1995 so 1995=aaron example- business is buying and selling as a way of earning money. so business=buying,selling to earn money. i’ve thought for the longest time that every single word in the textbook is important and i just copied down every single line. Instead I understood the para and wrote it in shorter paras. also u can set up goals, like I need to fit 3pages of info in 1 page and there is no extra space which will make u limit down the information
