Damn it, this video series is going to cost me. Great work on this.
Whoever designed this thing has a really big brain!
Third watch on the set of 6 videos, only just getting to understand all the various modes /layers/ of how flexible this machine is...roll on 2021 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
This is why I am excited about this work flow. I did a lot of recording with a Roland VS 880 then a 1880, (way back) back to basics and less keyboard and mouse, AWESOME!.
Still go back to these videos, best out there Matt 👍
before I officially started using the presonus studiolive 32 SX for studio recording. I first studied it thoroughly, so that I first got to know how the mixer well and the system works. the studiolive 32 SX has so much to offer and it works a lot easier, the setup is quite simple and you can adapt it to your own workflow its a perfect mixer for me in my home studio.
Loving the 64S more and more everyday.
Invaluable Videos...Helped me out LOADS....keep em coming ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️☠️🎸
Thanks for your videos. It has really help me a lot. Thanks again
First rate series. I got the 32S and love it to bits.
I don’t quite understand why the fat channel does not function the same way in DAW mode as it does in live or tracking mode. I just get a random selection of fat parameters on the knob section in DAW mode. Can we not select our own choice of parameters? It would be nice if Presonus included a printed cut out overlay for the secondary knob functions. Thank you for producing this very helpful series. If you plan to make more, I would love to see a step by step procedure for transferring a Capture session to Studio One with original mix parameters intact.
i just ordered The 32SX.. Thanks for the great video
32 S on the way 👍👍 Videos 1-6 Finally cemented my decision ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️🎸😎🍺🍷
Great well explained Videos, Thanks
Must agree that it’s next level in DAW Mode shame about the no sound output as it’s defaulted to no sound output on our system so have routed direct out of studio one computer to a seperate Stereo out due to the problem Believe that main out should be available at all times with Mute
Awesome video!
Wow! I am going to just get the StudioLive 64 and done with it. This is the most amazing mixer for studio or live use on the market.

Let me know when you have it Donald! I am also thinking about getting rid of my interfaces to go this route
Agree. excellent video!
Great review thank you
Excellent!!!
Thank you so very much!
Why is there no discussion on overdubbing live audio to prerecorded tracks. Is there not a way to do this in sync without latency?
Are you able to save mixer configurations in Studio One under the REMOTE button. So, say you just wanted to mix the drums, you hide all of the other tracks and save that as a mixer scene called DRUMS. Will this saved scene be reflected under the REMOTE tab and be mirrored on the Studiolive Desk?
Cheers👍 for the video mate. Very helpful 💖.. I have a problem with mine thou just wondering if you can help please - I've hooked up the speakers and microphones into the System but no sounds coming through Speakers all the Speakers are connected correctly i can see the lights coming on from the PA System when I speak on the mic but no sound.. Thnx👍

Ioelu Brown did you get it sorted?
Hi. One question. Using Daw mode, can you use the mixer fxs like an SSL?
Very Very amesing
Do these mixers work with Reaper?
Hi where is the Jog Wheel. And how comes its only 1 knob for controlling dynmics?
Does it have in DAW mode the full functionality you would get from a faderport?? Im trying to decide between audio interface+faderport and studiolive III

Hello dhfg, are you still balancing between both workflow setups? If so you can discuss it with me via KZread private messages because I was working with an external soundcard + an analog mixer + a digital mixer (thinking also to add a DAW controller like the Faderport 16) and I recently switched to only one device, doing (well) the job of all these 4 gears, the StudioLive 64S. And it's rea-lly nice now. :)
How do you delete the insert from the mixer?
So, you don’t have access to a user layer while in DAW mode?
I can't get the master fader to work in protools?
How many channels in DAW mode can i control in studio one from StudioLive 32SX, or StudioLive 32S?
is that good for a studio live like youtube and facebook
I use an FaderPort 8 with a Focusrite Clarett w/Firewire.interface. Is there any advantage to purchasing a StudioLive Series III 32SC? I would like more faders. I'm trying to decide between the StudioLive Series III 32SC (because of the compactness) or just get a FaderPort 16. Another bit of information, I don't record live. This would be strictly for my home studio where right now, I play all of the instruments. Thoughts? Anyone?

Just an opinion... but if your main need/want is just more faders for a more streamlined control of your daw, you probably don’t need the series 3. But depending on how you track drums, it could be useful to have the mixer/interface all in one. And if you wanted to sculpt your sound on the way in, running a guitar or vocals through the desk first would be a way to do that, but again... isn’t needed. So IMO you don’t need it based off* what I know, but.... who doesn’t want that beaut.

@@ianbyrne4070 Thank you. I did end up getting a 32C. It works fine but I don't know that it was my best decision since it's used for in-home use. Your comments are spot on. Thank you!

@@zaiddthomaausI ended up selling it. I found it a bit cumbersome going to DAW mode and getting my computer to recognize it. Once I did it was fine but it took up a lot of real estate on my desk and I just didn't think it helped my work flow. It's a pretty cool piece of equipment but just not for me. I have an 8 port Focusrite that has been plenty for me.

I do use PreSonus' Faderport 16. But honestly, I still find myself using the software, but that's just me. Although, having the record, play and stop buttons alone are great to have. Plus, the Faderport has an expression pedal jack that can be configured to start and stop recording, which can be very handy.
Where is the jog wheel? Maybe I missed something?

How the heck do I set this up to work with Reaper not a studio one fan so much
@chestonvanhuss6518

you will have to set it up in MCU mode (which is via ethernet). It will actually be 2 devices, as the first mcu will control the first 8 faders, and the extension controls the second 8 faders- or at least, that's my understanding.
Are you recording on a computer or in the mixer?
@officialWWM

Greg Patterson on a computer. You can record on an SD card in the mixer but you can't really edit. It's great for recording live bands and mixing them down later.
@productoflifestyle

@@officialWWM when using the SD card in the mixer, is it running through the processing I have set for the Live Sound mix I've set, or can I just set the mic gain for each channel to be sent (I'd like a dry recording of each track so that I can mix later.... also I'm afraid that my gain for Live may be different than what I typically would for a recording, can I set two separate gains to do Live and Recording simultaneously)
@officialWWM

@@productoflifestyle hi mate, no, all recordings are dry with no fx or processing so you can do all that later, either through the mixer or in your daw.

@@officialWWM thank you for the speedy reply. So i assume the gain i set for my Live mics is going to determine the level input on those recordings as well, correct?

@@productoflifestyle yes, that’s right.
Is there a Jog Wheel available on one of the encoders ?
Late to the party on this one but we are considering studio live for a couple of small project studios. In DAW mode, does anyone find the transport controls in an awkward position up by the screen? I've usually got my fingers on the transport buttons quite a lot and it looks as though I would be constantly reaching across the faders and possibly touching them or getting a very tired arm. Any comments from people already using this mixer please (?)
Sorry friend at 6:36 - you go into to total land of oz!!! Problem with this tutorial is it is for beginners but you ramble off on very sophisticated topics - impossible to follow !! NOBODY is going to remember all the ridiculous hidden shift this and that in daw mode.
