Studio Tour: Galaxy Studios - RedStone Productions
In this Episode we visit the Galaxy Studios in Belgium, a State of the Art facility created to serve the fine arts of film, music and sound technology. With more than thirty-five years of activity, the studio complex has been a world class beacon of advanced technology for sound recording and film post-production and in 2005 it has originated the ultimate immersive sound format Auro-3D. It is the home base for Auro Technologies its driving force software development company.
We had exclusive access to all the rooms and we are very glad to be able to show you this incredible cathedral of sound.

Head spinning amount of equipment and complexity running smooth as silk...amazing.
My Lord, this place has every aspect of video and audio production. Beautiful place
This is like heaven on Earth. Amazing studio.
very cool tour, I´m blown away too. please do more videos like this *****
Insane... Can't even imagine what it took to get this all together & wired. This has got to be the craziest studio in all of Europe. Someone needs to leak what it cost to build. With all the equipment installed. I mean just preparing the building alone was surely millions & millions. And the guy doing the tour has knowledge of everything there & what it does and how to use it. Incredible.
wow I remember seeing articles and ads for this place in 2005 and being in awe of that 80 channel API Vision.
What?? Simply Amazing… Wow!!
Nice to meet a fellow galaxystudios
This is a hidden treasure from the average person. Should be named Unlimited Galaxy Studios. I would love to see an in depth view of the wiring behind the equipment.
What a fantastic space!
Amazing studios!!!
so many eq`s for such a big live room in a place with lot of great mics

Good video !!!
A lot of effort for the fact, that (too) many people finally listen to shitty 128 kb mp3-files and with cheap in-ear headphones......But anyways: Impressive studio!

There is a huge difference between converting to mp3 an high quality produced track and converting to mp3 a bad quality produced track. Same goes for the quality of your speakers & headphones
Most days I get perplexed by my three synced Presonus interfaces...
amazing !!!!!
very good video
Wow!!

Beautiful studio. I have used Genelec’s from time to time in stereo and immersive sound mixing studios. It always amazes me in that while Genelec’s do some things well in terms of range and dynamics, they are always so fatiguing and unnatural sounding, especially in the mids. I guess as the NS-10 has shown, for many quality of sound is not important for mixing. I like that various brands provide a focus mode option, where you can temporarily exaggerate the mids and then fall back to their normal musical mode of operation with the tap of a footswitch.

Thanks a lot for your comment Andrew! Classic Genelec models can easily be tweaked with DIP switches on the back to users/spaces requirements. Newer Genelec models with GLM can be tweaked to everybody's taste with very detailed controls that will not be found on other brands I am afraid. We have installed a pair of 8351B and a 7370 sub in our studio and man that system is flexible as never before with GLM 4.
Man, what an experience this must be! I just want to sleep there, please? 😍 Seriously though, seeing that Genelec is still going strong in such big audio/video editing rooms is great! I use Genelec myself and i love them! I'm actually debating of getting a Crane Song Avocet 2 or going with a UAD apollo x8/16... I heard many good things about both of those. Just got the new Mac Pro and i need a new audio interface.

I had the pleasure of being an intern at the studios so I literally slept there haha. Imagine being able to go down at 3 AM any night and being able to use whatever you want. Was a dream.
Holy Jesus..this should be uploded to youporn. Wow. This is nuts..
You get your steps in just adjusting EQ and compression.
The host has a lot of knowledge about the subject. He mentions "I will tell my students ..." I'm wondering if the host is an actual teacher that teaches about sound engineering. If he does I will love to sign up for one of his classes.

@@RedStoneProductions That is great! Do you offer online classes? The reason I ask is because I'm located in the USA. And Covid -19 is not getting any better... Stay safe

Lol. You make sure to use a short cable to avoid interferences and get real close to the speakers as well (nearfields).

Galactic equipment or not, nowadays a lot of good music is made on attics and cellars.

I could not agree more with you, Please check out our recording session with Strainful Train and you'll see...
complete novice question, is there a reason there is more often than not a lot of wood used in the creation of recording studios? like wood panelled walls etc. im guessing its not just aesthetics but i always really like how it looks.
@RedStoneProductions

It has to do with the Interior Acoustics of the studios. I can highly recommend Master Handbook of Acoustics by Alton Everest to get into it.
Amazing Studio .. Where is it located ..
