I really enjoyed this. Something I love is that you don't worry about everything being perfect and you just make it work for you! I always put so much pressure on myself to try and be as perfectly organized as possible even though it doesn't work with my personality. So seeing those cubbies & drawers with things just kind of stuck in there makes me feel better lol! I like getting to search through my own stuff and find things I've forgotten about sometimes. Also loved seeing all of your unique storage containers. Thanks for showing us so much of you in this video! ❤️

Thank you your happy place is amazing, I love it, all the imperfectness is spot on. Well done! I too am lucky to have rooms, but this is only because my children are adults now and have their own houses. So I appreciate what I have and actually prefer non matchy pieces of furniture, most of it is pine or cello/ junky pieces lol! I love my tiny room the best, it’s very cosy and I have other cupboards for household too. I don’t mind - I love to watch you play in your craft room. Please share any and all if you have any mass makes of pieces. Thank you xx

It has been about 5 years since the KZread algorithm picked up your video for me. I had been into papercrafts for many years by then but never heard of handmade journals. Your video really inspired me and shortly after I was making - and selling - my first JJ collection. 5 years and many, many books later, I am glad to see your studio tour. I move from place to place too much to have a proper craft room, but I love how light and non-cluttered yours is. Not only practical but also elegant and peaceful. Thank you so much for sharing, and for being an ongoing inspiration to me!

Best advice ever to appreciate the space you have. Love your room it is beautiful. That main chair you sit in while editing is dreamy. I have an evolving space as well and instead of a cluttered “Room of Doom” I now have my dream space just by repurposing furniture from everywhere…yard sales, thrift shops etc. It is much easier to keep tidy as well. Love your tapestry collection and your vintage pieces throughout the room. So inspiring 💞

Absolutely LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE your craft room. It is beautiful. Love the vintage details. I actually really like the floor tiles. They warm up the very light room. And it goes with the work top of your messy craft island. I would paint the 1-31 organiser and just leave out the 1-31 natural. It would make it stand out. My craft room is now combined with my peraonal nail studio (long story) which I don't like, because everything is so cramped. I hope we can afford to make a studio for me in our barn one day.... For now it works haha. At the other end of the island I would put up a couple of Ikea pegboards. I love mine. They are SO useful and you can have your pens or paintbrushes or whathever. The great thing with these, is that you can customise them to your needs xxx 🥰

I just need to use up most of what I have before I buy anything else. According to my husband, I have more than enough stuff. I'm grateful for what space and products I have, so it suits me just fine. Thank you so much for sharing your space. Take care and I wish you well!

@@JohannaClough Johanna, I don't even know if it actually needs repair BUT it's a 1968 Underwood 18 made in Italy and some of the keys are not in the right place lol. I've researched this brand and I think the keys are in its original spot. So when typing as I normally would I'm hitting the wrong keys. So I wanted to take it to a repair shop to see if they can switch the keys around for me without me messing it up. I know I may mess up the originality of the typewriter but I can't get used to typing with it the way it is. 😂

It was amazing that you just made this video. I have always had to work at the kitchen table but last week I purchased a little but so cute white old desk!!! Then this week I found an old chair for $10.00. I just finished painting a little cabinet to hang over my desk to put things in. "I had to start somewhere" is what I'm doing. I love old things my house has more old/vintage things than new. My husband is a pastor and a bus driver so his pay isn't great but we always have what we need. So this year everyone is getting a journal for Christmas because i can make them and save us some money. You have been such an inspiration to me thank you so much for all your videos and wonderful words that lift me up this one was right on time. God bless you and keep up your wonderful work!!

Loved your beautiful studio tour, it was so detailed and interesting. It was really lovely watching those tiny bits of pieces and how unique each one of them is. I really loved the vintage style you have all around the room, which reflects your style in your designs. Everything is organized even when it's not- They just have their own place and I think it's fantastic. Loved how your craft space is so airy and with lots of space, so nice! I enjoyed hearing about the stories of each item and how they found their own path to your room and your life. So detailed and really calming and inspirational. I loved what you said at the end. I feel the same. I used to craft on my kitchen table for so many years and I feel so blessed to have a craft room now, but I remember, always, that I started on a really simple table. Even though I moved 3 houses since then, I take this table with me in every room I have. When I use it now I am reminded of the journey it took to get to where I am now. Thanks for the tour, it was wonderful!

Great craft room tour. I love that a lot of it is from thrift stores or Facebook marketplace. Most of my craft supplies are from thrift stores and online secondhand marketplaces and I have accumulated so much in a relatively short space of time. It is ludicrous to buy new, when so many ex crafters are getting rid of new and nearly new products at a fraction of the price.

I have to keep reminding myself that if I am patient an item I really want today but don't have room for or can't afford, manufacturers will have an update for in a few years or I can purchase second hand. I'm not sure our creative spaces are ever "exactly" where we want them to be. There's always something that needs tweaking, altering, painting, cleaned, organized, etc. Have you looked into painting the flooring? I've seen some crazy cool results and it's loads easier than re-doing it completely. Beautiful room you have perfectly suits you and your style. Thank you for the tour 🤓

Exactly! Always evolving! ♥️ my initial plan was to paint the tile but being such a huge area i’m just not sure if it will be worth the effort if it just scratches.. it’s a pretty high traffic area since there is a hallway/bathroom and outdoor space joined to this room 🤔 i’ve thought about possibly carpeting over it for now but 🤷🏻‍♀️ i do like the tile just no the colour

Gorgeous craft room, you're so lucky. One day when one of my grown up kids move out I will have a craft room. It's a great space for your you tube channel. You've got tons of storage and everything has a home, fab. It's great you have a home for your works in progress projects too.

Love your uncluttered simple vintage style! Just an idea about your sewing desk… You could always clear out the cupboard space beneath your sewing machine so you can sew less awkwardly 😊 thanks for sharing your room, it’s just lovely!

Your craft room looks like such a calm space to work in! I think a space where you've curated bits and pieces over time is the nicest! I also love collecting vintage tins and need to find a use for some of them. TFS 😊💕

I’m a lover of my pegboard. I have the one from IKEA and I hang all my paint tubes on it, using a binder clip for any that don’t have the holes at the top. I also have the little shelves across the top of the pegboard and that’s where I put my containers of mediums and gesso. Along the bottom of the pegboard I have a row of little slide in cups with all the little knick knacky things. Underneath it I hung two of those rail organizers from IKEA with small buckets that hang from it and that is where I keep some of my brushes and pens and other tools. I like it a lot, it’s got a shallow profile which makes it nice to see everything right up front and not have to dig through a drawer or bins etc 🌸
