“Should we stop him?” “Nah,let em cook”
I once had an accounting class in high school. I would be somewhat paying attention to what the teacher was talking about while doing the homework for that lecture because the teacher would put the homework on the board at the beginning of the class. So I'd pull out the workbook and be doing the homework while in the class. The teacher thought I wasn't paying attention to him and just doodling or something in the workbook so he asked me what we were talking about in the class and I gave him the perfect answer. After I give him that answer he left me alone and at the end of the class I turned in the work assignment and got an a+ on it. And for the rest of the course I got an a. Oh and he never asked me a question ever again. Oh, but don't get me started on math teachers about showing your work.
@benjaminmorris4962
Жыл бұрын
Math teachers want you to show your work for a multitude of reasons. First off, it proves you didn't cheat. "But I used a calculator..." So you can't write down what you did on the calculator? BS, write it down... Second, math clas is about learning how to do stuff, so they want to know that whatever method you used is actually valid and not some sort of fluke(many formulas/methods work for the same problem, but some formulas/methods that don't truly work will occasionally yield the right answer that one specific time by pure coincidence. You can tell these formulas are wrong if you change some of the variables(like x=3 instead of x=2) and it yields the wrong answer for Saud experiment). It's also useful for if you got the wrong answer but used a right formula(many formulas work for many problems, bad teachers don't realize that), to know where you went wrong during calculations - such as if you used the wrong function(like log vs ln) or just wrote a dugjt wrong, etc...
@christopherlikes4400
Жыл бұрын
@@benjaminmorris4962 My friend I gave up on showing math work when I actually did show the math work and got the correct answer but apparently it was the wrong way to get the answer even if it was correct. In the end with mathematics it's not how you reach the answer it's the fact that you reach the answer in the end anyway. I hate theoretical mathematics because there's nothing I can touch in reality for me to have the third method of finding out what the missing sign on a triangle is or if the sticks that I've been given even make a triangle at the angle that's given.
" Thats because you failed to teach me" words to live by 😂😂 also I do actually say that sometimes.... Theres a LOT else in here thats SUPER true and a say those things too like when my family says "Are you talking back to me" I'll say "Isn't that how a conversation works?"
