Students Leave Kyrgyzstan After Attack On Foreigners
Foreign students leave Kyrgyzstan after a violent mob attack. Pakistan has repatriated some 180 of its citizens following mob violence in Bishkek on the night of May 17-18. Around 140 of the returnees are foreign students, a group that is believed to have been targeted during the attacks.

These savage attacks really damage the reputation of Kyrgyzstan. International students bring hard currency into the country and this is how you treat them. I just cancelled my trip to Kyrgyzstan as a tourist from Canada. Foreign investors and foreign companies are also watching this and they have a very good reason not put a foot on Kyrgyzstan. You want to keep your country poor and isolated with bad reputation, you don't need anyone else's help. Congradulations!

What happened to students is unforgivable. I sympathise with their parents whose children was there at night especially girls. It was tough night for anyone. Kyrgyzstan govt and university management and so called police are failed to protect these students .
As a Kyrgyz I apologize for stupidity and ignorance of some people that I share citizenship with. I am deeply sorry for what you have faced. I can only imagine what are parents of these innocent students are feeling, I am sorry that someone's beloved children raised with love and had to leave their families for study and went through this. I wish my government sent those idiots, who hurt students, in the same plane so they face parents of these students. If anybody, who is in Bishkek and need any help, please feel free to write me, I will try to help as much as I can.

This what happens when racism/ultra nationalism joins hands with street vigilantism. The problem started between kyr students and Pakistani foreign student that clashed and fought one another and instead of the people waiting for the police to investigate and let the court system do its work, which they did by arresting those that were part of the brawl. Instead they decided to go racist and target anyone that looked Indian or Pakistani that had nothing to do with the brawl. Now that nation is going to lose those students, current and future visitors plus any foreign investment.

Six egyptian students harassed some kyrgyz girls on restaurant. Four kyrgyz students confronted them and chased them up to their dormitory. Then egyptian students called 20 foreign students in dormitory and started fight. 20 vs 4, they used metal things to fight and almost killed 4 kyrgyz students. They were egyptian, Indian and Pakistani students

ATTENTION foriegn students dont hang there passports around there necks and to Kyrgyzstani people all of them are foriegners and all of them are under attack The reason is: Some drunk Kyrgyzstani people broke into female hostels and harrassed egyptian female students..egyptian male students responded back and beat those 4 guys 3 of them ran away the last one was getting beaten up and that video went viral Without context locals thought foriegners were beating a local and they started attacking the hostels in large groups and start beating every foriegner (indian, pakistani, bangladeshi, afghan and egyptians) by the time the situation was explained it was already too late..

@@KaranBagga87 problem in India is that there is so much competition after getting good marks every one wants to become a doctor how many can pass the joint entrance not all the rest have to get admission in private medical colleges where actually foreign students also come or go to some other country where it is easier to get admission and get a degree.

@@KaranBagga87 Pakistan has almost 200 medical college across the country. However, the merit is too high. we have thousands of medical students who study on finance, which cost 50,000$ to earn a medical degree and those who can't afford such money are compelled to travel to such countries.

What a pathetic place to study tbh,
In reality this may be a blessing in disguise for the people of the world, at least in the case of the medical students. The reason so many foreign students are at these universities is because of the relaxed rules around academic compliance and standards. The countries these students have come from have much stricter/rigrous academic criteria at their national universities for admission as well as completion of their degrees. Therefore, places like Kyrgystan step in to benefit from this situation by offering these students another option. The question we must ask ourselves is whether we would be comfortable having our family members treated by students coming out of such institutions? Also, curious how many of the origin countries for these students will accept the degrees from Kyrgystan and allow them to practice in their homeland once they return?

The reason for this attack was that a few Pakistani male students harassed Kyrgyz female students on and off, and it resulted in fighting and violence.

ATTENTION foriegn students dont hang there passports around there necks and to Kyrgyzstani people all of them are foriegners and all of them are under attack The reason is: Some drunk Kyrgyzstani people broke into female hostels and harrassed egyptian female students..egyptian male students responded back and beat those 4 guys 3 of them ran away the last one was getting beaten up and that video went viral Without context locals thought foriegners were beating a local and they started attacking the hostels in large groups and start beating every foriegner (indian, pakistani, bangladeshi, afghan and egyptians) by the time the situation was explained it was already too late..

I’m a Christian but I don’t believe it’s fair to attack someone’s religious background. There are definitely good and terrible people who are raised by their own communities. This is how it is. Where were the University Police though. This is horrific for parents and families at home. Be Safe young people. 🤍🙏🏽 My grand daughter is attending University next year and SAFETY is always a concern no matter where it is.
There must be some issues with Pakistani students. Otherwise why Kyrgyz people will attack only Pakistani and bngladeshi. The reason is very simple, these students do zihad, like love zihad, land zihad, which is very dangerous for internal security of and country.

Then egyptian students called 20 foreign students in dormitory and started fight. 20 vs 4, they used metal things to fight and almost killed 4 kyrgyz students.
